Fred Davis, a former college teammate of Dirty, is missing from this list.

Depending on the team we could get that for him. He's not really a fit with what we do and he's more polished than the rookies coming out. A team may be looking for a veteran presence like Keller who can create mismatches and be a solid red-zone target for a team like San Diego, Chicago or Denver, Tebow could use a guy like Keller.

The disappointing thing about Keller is he has the same tendency to disappear for games or long periods at a time. He's been doing this since he came in the league. In the first few years, it was ok but it really makes you believe that he's reached his ceiling. he's not tall enough to be a genuine mismatch and not a good enough blocker to be able to be part of versatile schemes (I.e. 2 TE formations we can throw out of or run out of).

i really think keller has hit his ceiling. he's not that strong or physical and people have figured out how to take him away for the most part. i'm fine with keeping him for another year since he's still under contract for only about a million dollars or so, but next year when his contract is up you let him walk.

the jets were thinking dallas clark when they drafted him but that mode of TE is now antiquated in the NFL. The Rob Gronkowskis, Jimmy Grahams and Jermichael Finleys are future of the position. Even guys like Jermaine Gresham, Brandon Pettigrew and Marcedes Lewis. Before there were only a handful of Jason Witten type TEs, now it's becoming the norm.

People say Sanchez is inaccurate, but he's able to hit a moving Keller in the head from 15 yards away with regularity.

My suspicion is that Keller struggles sometimes with option routes. Just a theory.

When push becomes shove, Keller disappears completely. He is not physical nor is he big enough. Since he is not physical, his blocking is less than abysmal. *That is pretty hard to achieve by the way.* Unless he goes to Peyton Manning-led Colts, he has no business playing TE in this league. He is but a glorified WR in TE position, and he sucks even at that.

It's a troll, and judging by the handle, it's someone that used to post here.

I think Keller is over-rated by this fan base, he doesn't fit what Sanchez needs. If we can get a more complete TE in his place I wouldn't be against it.

That said he seems to be a high character guy so from the point of view I'm not happy.

    Ouch.

But I am afraid you are correct.
