Blocking is taking a guy who's in front of you,. and putting him where you want to, rather then the other way around. I agree there's nothing directly associated with blocking in Rugby but the entire game is based around being spatially aware and able to use strength to move bodies. I think that should translate at least somewhat.
All the talk about Gronkowski and Hernandez and now ESPN is saying Dallas Clark may be headed there as well..imagine that.
Winslow traded to the Seahawks, Clark signs with the Bucs. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7...hip-kellen-winslow-seahawks-sign-dallas-clark
 We have Cumberalnd and Baker and Rugby and a few other scrubs. We should be good at the TE position.
That would be fun to watch. Albeit 5 of the receivers would be ineligible unless the Pats used a lateral heavy system. And BTW, if the NFL is seriously looking at changing the game around to minimize heavy contact they should probably get rid of the rule that interior linemen are not eligible pass receivers. That would put a premium on lighter more agile linemen on both sides of the ball since everybody would theoretically be in the pattern and on pass defense at all times. It would also make the pass rush an adventure to say the least since if you beat your guy and had a straight run to the QB you might well watch the outlet go to the guy you were just being blocked by. I also really want to see Nick Mangold run a little curl...
