All I want for Christmas is an effective Amaro. Hell, just put the same year he put up his rookie season, maybe a few more TD's. And improve blocking.
Jeez guys, he isn't the worst blocker in the world. And with our cap situation, who else are we going to get? If Amaro can provide a decent set of hands, we might just get by at the position.
Surprising, but since it's a a pretty minimal deal and he'll be competing to earn a spot, I have no problem with it
Then it shows they are probably committed to not upgrading the position in any meaningful way. Our TE's are going to be Amaro, Suds and Davis unless something happens. Last season Gailey showed WAY WAY too much confidence in Davis as a hands TE. Not to mention it was almost always at the absolute worst point of the game. Davis also showed a fascinating inability to block despite that being he main reason for even being on the roster. It's pretty damn ridiculous that the best blocking TE currently on the roster is "WR" Quincy Enunwa. Again, this had better be a camp body, spot holder kinda deal. The alternative picture is not a pretty one.
Time to draft a backup lineman in the 7th that can also catch a little bit. Kill two birds with one stone, lol.
If his role is to simply block then fine. I think Jets grab Bennett when he's cut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would guess that the current depth chart looks like this: Amaro, Sudfeld, and Davis. Unless the Jets converted Enunwa over to TE on the roster. If so, then it's probably Amaro, Enunwa, Sudfeld, and Davis. In that case, the Jets should absolutely be fine at the position (numbers-wise). Edit: Just realized that Davis was also a Bear, as well, which puts the NY Bears count at, what, three?
Next we are gonna hear "Calvin Pace signs a 1 year deal with the Jets".Let's bring back Wayne Hunter to
