He is a bum. The stupid regime that drafted Nugent in the 2nd over evaluated Clemens and drafted him. He should have been undrafted. I know he was never given a real chance but there is a reason for that. He should be happy he made great money and never had to endure complications from football injuries later in his life.
I'm pretty sure we changed management from the Nugent draft in 2005 to the Clemens draft in 2006. Bradway was demoted when Herm left after 2005, Tannenbaum and Mangini came in for 2006, drafted Brick and Mangold in the first round, then Clemens, then Leon and Brad Smith later, not too bad. Passed on Cutler which is looking better and better.
yeah nugent was the genius pick of bradway and edwards, not mangini. even with all of manginis hang ups i am pretty sure he would never pick a day one kicker. jil
Funny how the OC does everything in his power to make sure he doesn't throw the ball. From what I saw last night, I don't blame them. He has better days ahead of him however.
Ainge was a 4 year starter in the SEC. He led two entirely different squads to the SEC-East championship.(2004 & 2007) As Parcell's says, "give me those 4 year starters anyday, they have figured out how to win, they had too!" Unlke the 'One Year Wonder from SC', who Pete Carroll said "wasn't ready for the NFL yet." Anyway, Ainge is a great athlete, he's 6'5"+, he's got an accurate gun, broke Mannings total Completions in a season record, and then Broke his highest completion % for a season too. He had 535 pass attempts his senior year, and only 'TOOK' three sacks; another record, Yet he still completed 63% of his passes with all the throw aways & drops, & threw for 31 touchdowns. Then managed to lead a team to their second SEC-East title over Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, etc... Look at all the SEC QB's playing in the NFL! And just because MS makes more money than any Jet ever, doesn't mean the vets and the fans have to suffer through the losses, when if we were playing Ainge, the Manning protege', we'd be 8-3 at worst, maybe better... Look at Ainge's preseason stats this last year, he had the best QB rating in practice competitions and preseason games...YET we play the little man from Southern Cal. We actually have a legit franchise QB on the roster, but it's Ainge! Obviously I've seen things y'all haven't seen, which is why I know what I know about Ainge as a winner at quarterbacK!! I watched him 'beat Georgia three straight times, twice between the hedges.' He 'beat South Carolina three straight times'. I mean he "Never Lost" to Old Miss., Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Georgia, South Carolina, or Kentucky and was 2-1 -v- Alabama! His body of work is over a 4 year period in the SEC; wake up people!!
Nothing against Ainge, but they're not making that move at this stage of the season unless both guys get hurt.
Good info coach. That was more than I could remember about Ainge. Unless Clemens goes down, he won't start. If Ainge was better than Mark, he would had beat him in OTAs & TC. Either that or the FO didn't give him the opportunity to go up against Dirty 6. I'm an Ainge supporter but unless Clemens goes down or sometime next year once KC is released, Ainge might be #3 behind a vet but with possible more opportunity.
seriously, you've posted this mess several times already...You're already on the team Eric, don't worry, Clemens is playing his way off the team, you'll be the backup soon enough, and Sanchez will keep diving like he's at the deep end of the pool, so you'll get your chances
I hope the Cletus Clemons Contingent will sit down and be silenced. It is a miracle Cletus didn't give that game away to the woeful Bills
Seems like a good dude, just not a good QB. Funny part was he said the coaches never mentioned to him about sliding, Kay and Co were goofing on that afterwards, like the coaches don't care if Clemens gets hurt, just Sanchez, haha.
That guy is driving me nuts, I don't know how those things get to air. They're all about sex or some other crazy nonsensical shit for a car commercial.
