i have no problem with Clemens. He has been in this system for a few years, throws a good ball, and has the #1 rushing attack behind him. I think he will have a good game against a 1-11 Bucs team.

They have to let him play though. They haven't let him play in the limited mins he has played. He's been put in tough spots w/ a ton of 3rd and longs. You can't just run 1st and 2nd and throw on 3rd. They have to mix it up.

Exactly.. You hit the nail right on the head.. We are playing the BUCS.. Our defense should have a field day against a team with a qb and only two viable pass options.. Antonio bryant and Kellen Winslow... With a team that gives up 160 yards on the ground only the Bills are worse... We should run for close to 200 yards throw for 100, win the game 24-7. I have a feeling we will have a short field alot

i never shit-talked anything but Clemens....I'm hoping for a Jets win....but i'm a little skeptical because of what i've seen out of Clemens thus far......

if you watched the games...you'd probably understand.

If there was ever a team to play against this season in which your plan would be to "run the ball to open up the passing attack," it would be the Tampon Bay Fuckaneers.

By the time Jones and Greene get done making these fuckers stay home and stop the run, Clemens will have a wide open field with which to decide who he'll pass to. Even Clemens should be able to easily fleece this secondary by the time they tighten up against the run.

Keller and our WRs will have a big game. Clemens just needs to settle down and play confidently. The receivers will be open.

Thanks I nearly forgot. I have been a fan for 40 yrs and I refuse to be bitter and hate on my own team. I support the guys. I must have missed the memo where we are instructed to trash our own players and attack everybody who supported them.

I'll be sure to do that when this team wins on the legs of Thomas Jones, Shonn Greene, and the hands of Darrelle Revis. I would be willing to bet, going up against a rookie QB with a shit running game, that Revis has more "catches" and yards than any receiver tomorrow. Clemens is going to be asked to do just enough not to lose. He is not going to win the game on Sunday for the Jets.

The way he looked Thursday... I do question if he should be in the NFL. However, hopefully it was becasue he was not prepared. There should also be no reason to have to simplfy the playbook, because he should know it the best.

Maybe I'm just reading you the wrong way. Your posts seem to indicate that you expect a backup to play on the same level as the rest of the starting QB's in this league.

Your posts confuse me because he is a backup, as you just stated. Only a backup is a backup for a good reason, they are not on the same level as the starters in this league. They are prepared to manage the game, not win them. If they could win them, week in and week out, they would be starters. I'm not making any excuses for him, other then the fact that he is what he is. A backup. He has played like a backup, he has done the things you would expect a backup to do. Manage a game, while making mistakes due to the lack of skill set a starter requires from that position.

That is my only real case here. I just think you need to stop acting like he isn't a servicable backup, when he is. He isn't a starter and he probably never will be, but you making him out to be the worst QB in the league is just crazy to me.

I've watched most Jets games for 40 yrs. I don't understand the animosity and trash talk on our own players. I love the Jets. Maybe someday i would understand shit talking our own guys, but I hope not. I don't see why KC deserves to be disrespected like that. In contrast, Mike Vick killed dogs and he gets cheered (not by me though).

I do get pissed at the OC though because I think he put MS in unnecessary situations where MS could not be successful. I have seen less of that the past 2 weeks however.

Your game-plan description is somehow quite disturbing.

Same gameplan as MS would have had.

Again...what are you basing this on?!!

He almost singlehandedly lost us the game last week with 2 fumbled snaps, getting his ass sacked 3 times, and fumbling on the 10 yard line.....how is that "serviceable" again?

And no...i don't expect backups to come in and play to the level of the starters.....but my argument is Clemens can't even a manage a game when told not to fuck things up. He's dogshit.

    Lord-

I hate Kellen as much as the next guy but we could put Kellen's wife at QB against TB and win.

We are going to run the ball down their throats and scare the shit out of Josh.
This defense is going to have a field day with this "offense".

I'm worried about Mark's health right now, not worried at all about losing to freakin Tampa Bay.

Sucks for the TB Jets club though, won't get to see Mark play live.

    J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!

This is exactly the opportunity Ainge needed - Clemens at the helm, to solidify his place as Sanchez's backup for the foreseeable future.

i see...so we can pick and choose who we get pissed off at.

    In your world:
    -Schotty is fair game
    -Clemens is off limits

Clemens doesn't have a future here, regardless of how well he plays.
