I'm talking about his whole career. I would start Geno. Depends where Petty at he could be the backup.

This is why your opinion cant be taken serious. .01 percent of this fanbase still thinks Geno can be even average in this league. And you want to hand him the starting QB job? There are probably 40 QB's in the league right now I would take over Geno Smith...and probably some in the CFL and Arena league too. And if the XFL was still around Im sure there could be guys there that would do the job better. You dont want Fitz after he threw 30 TD's last season and led us to 10 wins , but want Geno after he threw 35 picks and led us to 12 wins in 2 years?
OK so let me guess geno007 says fitz sucks because we lost the last game of the yr but wants to start geno because he did not loss a single game last yr. Stop pumping geno geno007 please just stop. New flash look at the stat Geno Smith sucks as a starting qb and if he is starting for the Jets next count on us picking high in 2017.

We're not trading anything for a QB. Fitz will resign. It's inevitable. And there's a good chance Petty wins the backup job and if we happen to draft a QB anywhere in the draft he will most likely he 3rd string The fact Geno is even still being talked about is insane.
You know what your getting in Fitz he had 11 years to show that. Now with Geno we really don't know. I know people like you are going to say he sucks this and that. But the fact is a 3 year QB can improve. I'm not or ever said Geno is the answer but we won't know unless u put him in and let him play with this talented offense and Chan offense.
Thats the thing though. We dont know what Fitz is. Atleast I dont. What he showed at times last year was something that he never really showed on other teams. And that was mainly because of the supporting cast and OC here. Now add Forte and who knows what in the draft and its an offense that he can do even more with next season. If Geno was given the chance to run things with the offense I give him a 5 percent chance of doing what Fitz could do. And that risk isnt worth the $$ we would save by making that switch because a bad season next year puts everyone on the coaching staff and front office on the hot seat. Doubt they want that So if you think they are going to live and die with Geno Smith then you're way off. Crazy things will have to happen for him to be our starter Week 1.
