it would have to be a second round cause we're not gonna have a first.:jets:but i disagree i could see them going in to next t/c with k.c. e.a. and b.r. in an open competition and if k.c. lose signing a veteran. but that's just my opinion
Historically, Jets made QBs that had no prior starting experiences look like the second coming of Joe Montana. Bills last year is one but most recent example. If history repeats, Cassel will beat the Jets this weekend. On top of that, we've got Mangini sticking his head up his ass when 4th quarter starts. It's going to be a fun game, I tell ya all.
I am guessing the Jets are finally going to realize the importance of a QB this year after having Favre. If he doesn't come back I'll bet they grab one in the first round next year even if that means trading up to do it.
The Jets have shown real commitment to getting better and the New Yorkers have really bent over backwards making him feel wanted. If #4 stays healthy look for him to play next year. When I first heard about the trade I wondered if there would be a revolt over Pennington because from the few games I watched him I thought he was a good one.
If you want the QB of the future draft Nick Montana while he is still in HS. He'll enter the league in 6 years or so--you saw it here first.LOL
