Having this thread title on our board is stupid.

I plead to the powers that run this place to remove it immediately.

If it was up to me I'd bench the OP and the 2 guys that gave it a thumbs up.

    Disgusting and stupid...

why? The Jets are down 2 QBs and CK is an available QB with success in this league. Nothing is disgusting or stupid about suggesting his signing.

unless your post was sarcastic. In which case I apologize for not getting it

It would end my 34 years of being a fan of the team. Permanently.

    Why?

That seems pretty dramatic and over the top.

Because he's a dogshit human being who hates police officers (specifically) and the country (in general). I don't care if the Super Bowl was tomorrow and the choices were Kaepernick or running the wishbone with a high school QB ... I'd quit the team forever if we ever let this asshole put on a Jets uniform.

The last thing this team needs is distraction. He's a professional victim...a SJW...and not a very good one at that.

And besides the politics, he hasn't suited up in two plus years, wasn't all that good when he played, and has refused valid offers to play.

It's a dumb idea on every level...and having it splashed on our board makes us look dumb.

I disagree on the politics and I also disagree that he wasn't good when he played. He was certainly better than Trevor Siemian his entire career.

Fuck there was an article from NY Post today suggesting: Cutler, Osweiler, Webb, Bradford, and some other shitty guy I can't remember. CK was better than ALL of those guys. Does the NY Post look dumb for that article? No... I don't think so..

The guy they should sign is Eli, not hat it would make a big difference for the Jets. Nevertheless, it could accomplish a number of things, besides being entertaining.

    1. Sock it to the Giants
    2. He's as durable as they come.
    3. As bad as he's been with the Giants, he's better than anyone the Jets have.
    4. Since he's Peyton's brother he must know something of Gase's system (whatever that is.)
    5. Eli is a NYC legend, he should stay in NY.
    6. It's only for a few games until Sam's healthy

The Giants aren't cutting Eli, so we'd have to give them a pick. No thanks.

They might, out of respect for his long service. And even if we had to given them a 6th or 7th rounder, don't see any great loss there.

If I didn't abandon the jets completely when they signed Vick i'm not certainly not going to commit seppuku if they sign Kaepernick.

Also...turn off the fox news, man. It gives people brain worms.

Probably shouldn't get into the politics stuff on here anyway.

No thanks. Can't root for this clown and would look for another team to be a fan of.

I don't think they'd cut him knowing he's going to come here though. And why on Earth would we give up a pick to get a QB to lose a few games for us when we already have a QB who can lose those games?

The politics wouldn’t be why I’d be against the signing. I’d be against it because he hasn’t played in 3 years. That’s just too long to be not playing anywhere.

That's a fair point, but he would lose games while filling seats and keep the Jets season interesting if nothing else. However, after thinking about it a little more there are other obstacles as well. One is that the Jets and Giants never trade. The other is that the Jets and Giants will face each other in a few weeks and that's got to be the last thing the Giants would want is their ex-QB taking the field against them, especially here in NY.
