I'll buy that- and I wouldn't be so against Brad Smith taking the #4 if he sticks to his present course. Jmac will then be relegated to jockstrap fumagation duty.
How can he even be "rated" when Herm left him on the sidelines the last two years? I saw him play at NC St. and thought he was going to be a great WR in the NFL. Now he gets a chance
C'mon...you know that's B.S. You really think Herm would have sat the guy they traded a 2nd round D.P. for?
Yes even Herm would have had to play him if he was so over whelming impressive in practice. The one thing that frighten Herm more then any other was losing his job so anyone who he thought would help him be retained as the NYJ HC he would have played. As a reference see CP rotator cuff rip #1 where Herm played him even though he knew he was injured.
I am proud to have been anti- jmac for two years now....that injury that the jmac supporters pointed to for the last 2 years seems to have been a bullshit excuse as I said all along...this guy is a dog....get his ass outta here
And letting Coles walk goes back to the decisions to sign Martin and Chrebet to unneccessary long-term deals. The Jets are still suffering repercussions from bad decisions made 4 years ago. I worry a bit about what the Dewayne Robertson debacle will cost us in the end also.
I totally agree with you Champ! Herm would have had to play him over guys who were more experienced. Herm coached to win the game. Take for example: Starting Chad instead of Vinny early in his career, and not waiting for VT to come up limp before inserting Chad. Oh, wait... Well, how about letting younger guys fill in at CB instead of Ty Law. That was a good move. Er, okay, bad example... Of course there is the clear cut hit Herm made when he gave Jordan the chance to play over the everlasting CMart! Damn, wait, I'm sure I had a good example here somewhere. No, actually I don't. Sorry Champ, I was wrong. I don't agree with you.
He was near the top of league in dropped passes last season AND he's out of shape this year... Good riddance.
It's hard to complain about the DRob deal. Most teams have issues with interior DL. I saw somwthing in the NYT the other day about the Giants having an issue there. I don't think I would have made the deal, but good interior DL are hard to come by. Besides DRob was nearly All Pro in 2004
Yeah I mean...it was a poor trade. But it came during a time when EVERY team was overvaluing the DT position. Not to mention D rob has been solid in a spot we were routinely poor at for several years.
