I feel exactly the same way you do, except about Wilson, rather than Fields. The thing is I think we're both Jets fans and we'd rather be wrong and JD right if he picks the other QB. We'll both root for whomever JD picks at QB to succeed.

The thing is, there is little or no chance that Zach flops. IMO he is the most polished QB in the draft and has the highest floor. At worst, he will be a solid starting QB, and could probably start day 1, though I'd rather let him sit for a while and let the OL gel.

I wouldn't mind signing nick mullins and starting him 4 games for wilson to get settled in assuming we trade sam.

As far as fields go, if we draft him i'll root for him and love him. I think he has talent but I think wilson is a better prospect and better fit for us. I also like jones. I wouldn't be unhappy with any of them.

My main thing is the rest of the draft. I really want to fill out the back 7 on defense. There are a few late round guys I really hope we draft

Thanks for the confirmation. So I guess that means they don't think much of MJ.

The same thing could possibly be said if Belichick gets Wilson or Lance. Even Jones or Mond could bring the Pats back. We can't worry about that, however. JD just needs to take care of business and do what he was hired to do.

meh. They drafted Garappolo and we were supposed to be scared and he sucks. They drafted Stidham and we were supposed to be scared and he sucks.

Too bad they did it wrong. The WR was running in the same direction as Fields, not the opposite direction as with Wilson. ;)

We wouldn't have been laughing if Miami had taken Herbert, either, as many here hoped.

Starting Darnold sounds a whole lot more appealing to me than starting Mullins.

..because he wasn't very good against a not so good defense that had less talent on defense than BYU had on offense. He had some good throws. That doesn't wow me though. I look at the overall body of work, not just one drive. They didn't even score at the end of It all.

So they will have a friendly rivalry their whole careers. That will motivate each of them to outplay the other. I truly think both will be special QBs in the NFL. The Jets will be blessed to have either one.

It's not because of his quick release. That's ridiculous and you know it is. You're better than that. I don't follow SF, so I don't know why, but I would assume it's because Garoppolo isn't that good. His arm isn't that strong or accurate, especially dowfield, would be my guess.

Fields looks and throws like an NFL QB to me.

I’d be thrilled to see him in spotlight white / stealth black / Gotham green.

No one ever said it was the be-all and end all, but it IS a positive for a QB, not a negative. A slow release is not desirable.

    Perspective.

I think Wilson has the biggest chance to flop out of the top five QB's In this draft.

That's just based on his frame and injury history alone. Not to mention that I think his mechanics, cookie cutter schedule, one year of "good" QB play, and character are contributing factors to why I think he is a very high risk QB for us.

I do not care at the end of the day If I'm wrong though. You are correct about that.

I do very much care though If I'm right and JD fucks this up. I will lose my fucking mind.

Other than that. No big deal. lol
