Congratulations and thank you for your service. Be proud of being a logistician. Without guys getting the food, fuel, and ammo forward, the military couldn't function. Should be good opportunities for you on the civilian side too. I'm surprised how much of my army Hazmat training is applicable to my civilian workplace (almost all of it).
Wow, didn't expect this many replies, but grateful for them. Just wanted to show off my great new plague and how good the Jets organization is.
This is exactly the kind of story that never gets told, while the tabloids think a player saying "Can't wait!" somehow defines a team as classless. Thanks for sharing it, and thanks for your service.
Thanks for your years of service Master Seargant. A bit of advice ... get into state service - I know NYS while not hiring right now, will give you preferance because of your service, and I believe they count your years towards NYS retirement system. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
something about Fatcessa mumbling about how we're still classless.... Congratulations, and thanks for your service. I was hoping for an "FU KOZ" sign also, but you can't have it all.
Master Sgt Elliot, Thank you for your service. I often regret not re-upping, and nearly did till an APR of 8 caught up with me at McGuire, written by a MSgt at Kadena who was pissed I got a humanitarian reassignment as my father was dying and I was an only son. He refused to support my reassignment request, and screwed me after I left. I was always a solid troop with nothing but 9's across the board. With 8 months left in my 4 year hitch, I got pissed and got out. Very cool of your commander to contact the Jets. Some officers are great. I knew a few too. I knew a couple of schmucks as well. Thanks for your service and good luck in your second career. We couldn't keep 'em flying without you guys in supply. You had the parts we needed when we needed them ALL the time. Sgt John White PS: There are some few jobs in the USAF when airman do fire weapons besides the fly boys. There are some few airman on the ground at the front line in Afghanistan too, but not many. No snipers that I know of, but other fire dicsiplines. Helo rescue is one USAF front line job, the gunner is an airman. Mostly it's about keeping the fly boys going, and a wild guess is there are at least 200 airman and officers for every pilot. Probably more like 300-1.
To you, and others in the Jet fan community who serve our country bravely. I thank you for sacrificing your time and risking your lives to defend this great nation of ours. I salute you and congratulate you on your retirement.
Yes, we do, we actually have the best special forces unit in PJ's, they have CC, and tach p is a sniper.... MSgt Congrats on the 25, I will hopefully make it that long, seeing as I got out once already and came back in..... Now the hard part is deciding on what to wear to work........
