Not much of a chance the Pats fall to the 3 spot.

I'd rather make the playoffs. Good teams go every year.

Plus, I don't think the Pats are all that scary. The last time we lost to them when they were at home it was only by 9 points. They lost to the Steelers, Bills and Giants this season. I don't see any reason why we couldn't beat them if we play our best game....there is nothing special about the pats this year.

All of the AFC playoff teams are flawed, banged up, or just not "special" this season. We should be dying for the Jets to get into the playoffs because it seems like the field is weaker than normal.

The San Diego win last night gives the Jets an 11 game lead over the Bengals in strength of victory with only 2 weeks to play. Bengals need a +12 to overtake them. Jets opponents are 45-67 the Bengals are 34-78. Both the Bengals and Jets play 7-7 teams next week in the Cards and Giants. Cincy has Balt 10-4, Jets have Mia 5-9 in Week 17. Cincy has zero chance in this tiebreaker. Quit screwing around and win the the next two!!!

Don't forget San Diego. If they win out and Denver finishes 9-7 and the jets lose to either Miami or the Giants, the yahoo playoff generator has the two west teams making it and the jets out.

A very Plausible scenario...The chargers are @Detroit and @Oakland. Denver has Buffalo and Kansas City. Think Orton will want to beat Tebow?

BTW-As a Pats fan (and an NFL fan), am I crazy to think the Pats aren't as good as years past this season? The offense is great, but not as good as the crazy Moss/Brady machine in 2007. The defense is bad.

I think Jets fans are nuts for not wanting the team to make the playoffs. I don't think the Pats or the Steelers are as good as they've been in years past, the Colts aren't around..the Texans lost their QB and their star WR is banged up. Denver is beatable imo. The Ravens might be the best AFC team, but they can put up a stinker from time to time as well.

The Jets sure aren't as good as they were in 2008 or even 2009 but this AFC playoff field isn't as good as years past either in my opinion. Am I nuts?

3 replies to the same post, lol.

I was just playing with that Yahoo playoff generator. Another scenario is the Jets lose to the Giants, beat Miami, the Bengals lose to the Ravens, Oakland wins out (vs KC, vs SD), Denver loses to KC in week 17. The Jets then miss the playoffs as Oakland wins the Division and Denver gets the 6th seed.
