If Jacksonville wins tonight and the season ends. Jax has the six seed and the Crows are out.

It's such a shame that one of the team's from the AFC West has to make the playoffs.

From what I've seen so far, the 6 best teams are the: Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Dolphins/Texans/maybe Titans battling for the 6th spot.

Those 8 teams may be better right now than any AFC West team.

the AFC has at least 8-10 teams deserving of the playoffs. only ones that doin't deserve it are
bills, browns, bengals, raiders, chargers, broncos. The other 10 are all playing like a playoff caliber team.

The NFC has giants, skins, eagles, saints, packers and thats it really. and the giants skins and packers are all iffy at best

I remember a few years back that the Colts, as a 12 or 13 win team had to travel on the road to San Diego (an 8 or 9 win team) in the wildcard round. I always thought that division winners getting playoff home games was absurd. Reseed by record.

Dolphins do not look good. They beat a Green Bay team that has many injuries.

the dolphine dominated all game but made alot of mistakes. they shot themseves in the foot. game coulda be won by 20+ points. also GB is only missing finley, grant, and matthews as far as i know. Finley and matthews are both great players but all teams suffer injuries.

Update on the week 5 playoff picture
    1) Jets
    2) Pitt
    3) Tenn
    4) KC
    5) NE
    6) Tenn

Indy is third in their division with 4&2 Baltimore out of the playoffs. It is looking to be a tough year to get in the AFC playoff field.

Tenn gets two slots? That doesn't seem fair.

You can't do that because teams don't face the same opponents either within or outside the conference.

It will when they have to play twice during wildcard weekend.

I think they'd actually end up playing themselves if they had the #3 and #6 seed.

To be fair the AFC north does have the Browns to mess with, just pointing that out since the Bills were brought up.

The SB winner will definitely come out of the AFC East or North.

We are the class of the division, and we still are far from playing our best football. Which is a great sign, if we can get everyone hitting their stride at the same time this really could be the year.

My numbers are showing that the AFC South is the best division. With Indy holding third place you can understand why. Jacksonville is the worst team but not as bad as Cleveland or Buffalo.

The NFC East is another contender. The Gints and Eagles are both playing well through week 6. Dallas is their worst team and they were a favorite to make the Super Bowl.

If you're only looking at the top three teams in a division the AFC East is the clear winner however. Buffalo is just that bad.
