Mark makes big plays in the 2 minute drill, and that was the first signs that Eli showed as well. So there is similarity there Mark is durable so far, but I think he showed the effects of getting pounded all season, including looking a little "skittish" Now Eli was called skittish as late as Nov 2007 by Jerry Reese, so again, there is similarity there. But Eli pulls big 3rd down plays from out of no-where. Mark has yet to show that.
There were a bunch of huge 3rd downs in the SD playoff game that he converted, if we didn't we don't win. The play that got us going in NE was a 3rd and 6 where he pointed Braylon and completed that sideline pass, the Holmes TD in that NE game was a 3rd down. I don't know the percentages and Eli is doing it NOW so it seems like he has always done it but I'm confident in mark. There was a ton of other issues going on w/ the team this year, he'll be fine.
So you all are praying Sanchez pulls an Eli? I can't help but lol. Have you seen Eli fold the way Sancheeze does when under even a tiny bit of pressure? Did you see Eli throw passes to Dlineman like the way Sanchez does? Did you see Eli lock in on one guy on every play and not go through reads? Did you see Eli dump it off with shitty accuracy like Sanchez does? Come on now. Next year we will be going through articles about 4th year QB's and their struggles and people here will point to Matt Ryan and his struggles in his 4th season. But it will be all for naught, unless of course, Sanchez proves me and MANY other Jets fans wrong by actually being an affective QB and not a turnover machine. Hopefully, Tony can fix him up and not just "cover him up"
Wait, Mark has proven himself more durable than Eli Manning? Who is currently on a 129 consecutive starts streak, the third longest by a QB in NFL history?
where in my posts did you read where I posted Mark is more durable than Eli? I said Mark is durable, I never compared his durability to Eli's.
Through the years yes, I even saw Eli throw left handed this year, I have seen the bad INTs this year(though they were reduced from a year ago), ...
Oh god, another Sanchez thread by his worshipper Murrell. I cant wait till Peyton signs here to shut half of you lover boys up.
How many Sanchez threads have I created? Go root for whoever has Peyton as their starter next year, but it won't be the Jets.
Oh god, another abrasive and overall useless post by 94Abraham. I can't wait until your mom comes home so you have to get off the computer to do your chores.
Eli lost his LT and his #2 wideout during his third year. His Qb coach, who he liked working with, was changed out. His OL was no better than the Jets" OL. And he had all the fundamentals in place, which Sanchez does not. Comparisons to Eli always leave out these things. Imagine what kind of year Mark would have had if Ferguson had been replaced by VD?
But Sanchise has won 4 road playoff games. He threw for 100 yards against San Diego. And his fumble against Pittsburgh in the playoffs was another bad call against the Jets. The Jets get all the bad calls and Sanchez is on the verge of being elite.
Sanchez lost his RT and his favorite receiver in Braylon Edwards (the only deep threat on the team). His offensive coordinator has been historically bad at playing to the strengths of his players. Imagine what kind of year Sanchez would have had if we had a decent run game and could protect the quarterback?
Mark was the 23rd ranked QB in the league this year. But we all know stats do not matter. Mark has 4 road playoff wins and he is a top 10 qb. His heart cannot be beat. You gotta have heart.
And there's the Tiki Barber factor also. Tiki was a top 3 back during Eli's first 3 seasons. He was probably the second best back in football after LT during that period.
Oh, a "your mom" joke. Very original. Those were funny how many years ago? Maybe you should be the one to consult your mom to get tips on learning how to spell. I dont think abyzmul is even a word. However, the "correct" spelling of your name does relate to Sanchez play though.
Okay nostradamus. The fact that the owner wouldnt fully give Sanchez his guarantee that he is the future tells you all you need to know about what they are going to do when Peyton becomes available barring any medical setbacks.
