I don't think much of apologies that come wrapped in insults about baseless asssertions of what you perceive to be boring posts. Apology not accepted. Who cares what you think is boring? I think it is boring to have posters come into the middle of arguments they don't understand and say something off the point that has to be corrected. And I was NOT wrong in pointing out that two of Sanchez's main receivers this past year were new to the team the year before, but again, as you point out and I do agree, Sanchez's continuity going into 2010 was and is not relevant to the comparison of Eli and Mark in their respective third years. I will apologize for digressing to address the point Funky made yesterday in that regard, and do so without insulting you. Even though you deserve it.
what is wrong is you don't even understand when you change your subject. OF COURSE you didn't admit you gave up on the argument. You instead changed it when you had nothing to address the arguments showing how Eli's third year was very different from Sanchez's. He lost his LT and he lost is #2 wr in the middle of the season. Nothing comparable happened to Mark in his second season, and no, Wayne Hunter starting at RT is not equivalent to what would have happened if Ferguson went down and was out for the rest of the season.
Maybe the moderator participating in this discussion might do something useful and explain the rules around here to this newbie.
This year he may have been top 5(thanks to injuries and other QBs having down years) but he's not an elite QB. an elite QB w/ that roster isn't winning just 9 games in that weak division.
against dallas I saw him throw a short pass and Victor Criz make 3 guys miss and go 60+ yds for the TD then on the most important play of 3rd and long in the 4th qtr he threw it up for grabs to Cruz and Cruz outb attled 2 Cowboy defenders. He played well against GB BUT the D carried the way In SF he was ok, the D and STs won that game.
I didn't give up anything. I don't respond to every post of yours. When I see you saying the SAME things over and over again I tend to think "I already answered that one, no point in going back over old ground because Walter doesn't get it and even if he did get it he wouldn't stop arguing because it is in his nature to do so, even when he's wrong and he knows it."
Actually it's a justified insult. How is not an insult when you continually point out to everyone else they don't know football or that they're reading comprehension is poor? That's douchey.
I think Big Blocker has now supplanted Junc as the most argumentative. I didn't think it could be done but it has.
Brees,Rodgers, Brady were considered elite this year because they carried their teams to 13, 15, and 13 wins. Eli is on the cusp on being elite, but he is just not there yet. Rodgers had an elite year, but if he does it consistently he can join Brees, Brady, and Peyton if ever healthy again as the elite QB's over a span of a few seasons. Eli with another great season next year can then join that group. and of he keeps on doing it, he can be considered one of the better QB's or even best QB 5 years down the road.
To a point, yes, I will agree with that. Big Blocker just doesn't know what he's talking about and it clearly shows.
I don't like coming into the middle of arguments to correct someone who's point is way off. And then be told by said poster that I should go learn more about football. Just because I appear to be a newb poster. Doesn't mean I haven't been privy to this board's history long before you have. Who's to say that I'm not a former poster either from back in the day? You're ignorance is out in full color lately.
He hardly came up with it, and it should be grounds for a deserved ban. What happen to the mod who was here?
what's up with the arguing, calling out the mods and calling for bans, Big Blocker?? where is the reasoned and unemotional officer of the court I remember from the days of peoplesforum and webcrossing???
Eli definitely had an elite season, but does that make him elite? I'm not sure. This was his first great season in the NFL in 7 seasons. Brees, Rodgers, Brady do it consistently. I would like to see more from Eli before I dub him a true elite QB. Hell Stafford had a better season than Eli in his first FULL season; does that make him elite?
