You can pretend to be a Jets fan all you want but you will never be one (you are probably just a troll). Fair weather fans like you make me sick and the fact that you are looking for acceptance from a bunch of people on a message board is more pathetic. Just a bit harsh there aren't ya Jay? This team has finally made believers out of alot of folks and penalizing them for perceived trangressions accomplishes what? Every Jet Fan brings something to the table man. The Skeptic, The Darksider, The SunShiner, Everyone. It's almost 40 years now and we can be confident that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train. I will gladly forgive any jet fan whose confidence has wavered but this guy has displayed that he was never a jet fan but just a troll. I respect all of the darksiders on this board even thought I may not always agree with them because they have never given up and renounce our team. If you've been rooting for this team for 31 years, how the hell did you get past the Kotite years? What about that Lions game in '97? The collapse in 2000? Better yet, how many times have you exploded and damned this team in the past? So you know what? You can take your fly-by-night ways and go root for a playoff-less Ohio team like the Bengals or Browns. Yeah, we'll keep "noodle arm Pennington" and "man boobs Mangini" and oh yeah... Fuck you too

Spirit of B'way Joe The Jets have been a significant part of my family for as long as I can remember. Perhaps it is easy to forget how ?we? rose above the odds in 1969 and won Super Bowl III. That spirit was driven in part by Broadway Joe?s prediction that they would end up victorious. Even though I wasn?t a ?true? Jets fan at the time or for many years after, I used the word ?we? above because now that I am, my commitment is rewarded with a memory of that victory. However, that commitment also comes with the kind of baggage that could not have been better expressed by ?OP? after the Cleveland game. I doubt there is any true fan who could ever deny being as POed about the Jets as OP at one time or another. The only difference is that none of us were ever stupid enough to react and spell it out the way he did. In my opinion, OP is a ?true? Jets fan. If he wasn?t, he would have checked out for good the same day he posted his resignation. The impression I get when he did that is that he was looking for moral support which he never got. If it was a girlfriend he was complaining about, he was probably hoping for someone to tell him that she was a bitch and he?d get over it. But no one did. And that?s our fault. Bottom line is we need to put all this behind us and prepare for Sunday. Just remember, we have the off-season to heal if we lose but we have one less hurdle ahead of us if we win. After all, we are the 12th man.
