Very true. Running backs are pretty much encouraged to lead with the helmet and hit defenders. When a defender does it, it's "so dangerous! concussions are so serious I swear! Player safety is important!!!", if it's a running back, it's "wow, what a great play. We love to see players play with physical toughness!". Same with that stiff arm crap. You're pretty much allowed to facemask people / smack em in the fact and get away with it. It's a joke and hypocritical. It's like claiming that giving somebody a ticket for not fully stopping at a stop sign when there's no traffic at all in the area is actually for safety rather than to make the town money.
