If I remember correctly Doug Miller got struck by lightning and while people were trying to resuscitate him he got struck again... so he was struck not once but twice It's very possibly Rodney Culver survived that ValuJet Crash as did many of the other passengers only to be eaten by alligators in the Everglades. I've seen reports that investigators believed many passengers survived the impact but had no chance against the gators. It's almost like they have some Final Destination shit going on, it makes you wonder what the hell happened to that team in that season that would cause something so bizarre. Did their plane blow both engines and somehow land? Did the team bus just miss a massive pile up en route to a game? That being said Seau will be missed, I know how much he meant to the community of San Diego, he's arguably the biggest athlete to ever play in San Diego (ahead of Gwynn and Fouts) plus he grew up nearby so he was a local kid. I met him once at his bar in Mission Valley, was an absolutely friendly guy. Signed autographs for my cousins and talked to all the fans in attendance. It was a great place with an awesome atmosphere. He will be greatly missed and not just by Charger fans.... RIP #55
Maybe it was a cry for help and those closest to him continued to tell him everything was ok. You know how these "entourage" members can be. They just tell people what they want to hear to stay in good graces with the star. If you hear it enough you are going to believe it. I'm obviously just speculating but I hope it's more he ignored people trying to help him then him being told by those closest to him everything was cool. It's a shame regardless that somebody we looked at as being invincible when we were younger was really more vulnerable then you or me.
That's awful to think about but my guess is they would have been knocked out from the impact so whoever did get eaten didn't really feel it but I could be wrong.
Not sure what reports you are talking about, but the statements of this Everglades airboat operator are that no one was eaten by alligators. In fact, according to him, alligators bite people, they don't eat them, and they don't even bite them very often (there are an average of 4 alligator attacks per year in the US). http://www.aaof.us/09.00.htm Nile crocodiles are very different - they do kill people quite regularly. I heard somewhere but now can't find it but someone says he used a shotgun? If so that makes the self inflicted chest story hard to believe IMO. I never said RIP, so, suicide or not, rest well Junior. It's a shame he chose to go the way he went, assuming thats what happened, and thoughts and prayers are with the family--especially the mother. As someone who has seen the effects a suicide can have on a family (not in my own), I urge everyone who may have no sympathies for a suicide to at least feel for them--in many cases all someone needs to do is talk to their family to avoid such a tragedy, it's not their fault.
"but I won't take pity on him. Say what you want... I sleep good at night" __________________ The NFL is my church on Sunday, and Football is my religion. My home is the AFC East and my blood is Jets Green. Yeah religious man...self righteous prick. Having no true empathy or ability to dig past the surface of cliched thought will help one sleep at night, congrats on your peace
Its unbelievable how people come in here and pontificate. Give your best wishes to his family and leave it at that. We don't need to here how much better you are at handling life's adversities.
There's a difference between "pontification" and discussion. Nobody ever likes when someone pontificates, generally.
News today - Seau was found to have chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a degenerative brain disease. http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/junior-seau-brain-disease-cte-18178139 I know there are fans who think the NFL has gone sissy. They are idiots.
The NFL hasn't gone sissy. But they only protect the players that give them higher viewership ratings.
