First off, JuJu is a slot receiver, the Jets have Crowder who is a damn good one. Look at Juju’s stats, he’s only had 1 good one out of 4. He hasn’t been the same since AB left (surprise surprise). The Jets need a receiver that can play outside and win 1v1 matchups, I.e someone like Golladay. He had a couple rough soft tissue injuries this year, which are tough to come back from and reach 100% in the same season. I wouldn’t worry about Golladay’s injuries at all.
This. I used to be really high on JuJu but he's done a lot lately to make me reconsider. I think JuJu is a Twitch streamer stuck in an NFL player's body at this point.
I don’t even think JuJu is a head case or a self-centered diva, I just think he’s a 24 year old kid just trying to have fun with whatever he’s doing. Although I find bis TikTok nonsense a distraction, if he produces, he produces, and he hasn’t been the same receiver since AB left Pittsburgh.
Just depends on the money and the other options. I wouldn't mind replacing Perriman with Smith-Schuster. Huge upgrade. I'd rather sign a couple other WR's first though. So I wouldn't say I would target him, but I wouldn't mind him being a fall back option if the price is right. He has talent.
One thing we can say is that he's better than Dionte Johnson, who can't catch a cold but Roethlisberger still relentlessly threw to. Which is questionable in itself and may have lead to decreased volume for JuJu when it shouldn't have
I would love Golladay but I dont see him becoming available. JuJu does damage in the slot that Crowder can't because he is much bigger and faster. He doesn't have to play the slot. but he's a real weapon when he does. I think there is room for both guys
He had 800+ yards and 9 TD's this year, how can we not entertain that as a good season? The previous year he was made number 1 WR but then Old Rapey got injured and are we really going to blame a down year on the WR with who was throwing him balls? It is like going back to sledging Robby for not making 1k when it was plain to see the reasons why.
Bingo. Juju can play outside but they slid him inside more because claypool and and johnson can't. juju is versatile. people forget he played mostly outside opposite AB his 1st 2 seasons and racked up 2350 yards in 30 games and 14 TDs but then we heard it's because AB got all the double teams. I still like robinson better or galladay but i'd be happy with juju. he can move around for us. start outside with mims and crowder in the slot. and if crowder gets hurt he can slide into the slot role in 3 Wr sets
Well I think it's a price and fit issue versus him just being this awful receiver, along with there being better options out there. JuJu is a solid player. He's actually the perfect fit for the type of player we need (big strong possession receiver) and he reminds me a lot of Eric Decker in Decker's better form. The signing would be comparable as well. I just think he needs to go somewhere with a better culture in place then here. Tomlin's a great coach but for whatever reason that locker room has felt fractured since AB/Bell left and dragged Ben through the mud as this big racist and the anti-leader who keeps to himself. The Steelers have also all been celebrating a SB victory since they started off the year 11-0 (weak 11-0 if there ever was one). He'd be a realllllly good fit in Seattle. They have two great deep threats but they need a chains mover underneath. Baltimore as well.
Lockett is still good. Their issue is OLine the most IMO. JuJu would be my backup option. I just feel like ARob is a true #1.
Well at least this is a fair reply, mind I hadn't heard those rumours about Ben, obviously the rape one but not the racism one, you would think it would be damned hard to keep that hidden in a game were your teammates are predominantly black, I hope that isn't an insulting term nowadays, I really do hate POC, for me, that sounds a lot worse tbh. I do agree that they thought they were better than they were, they fell off the cliff at the end of the season.
I have concerns about him being a headcase. The Jets lead the NFL in those over the years. That said, if he wants to come to NY and play with Darnold (assuming they keep Darnold), and he's affordable, maybe he could replace Perriman. I don't think signing him or not signing him is franchise-altering.
I like juju, but Arob is my #1, juju would be second, Godwin 3rd... don’t like Golloday at all. But we should get a #1 receiver we have not had in 5-6 yrs!. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trade for Michael Thomas in NO, they need get rid of cap. A physical tough wide out. We are one of the few teams with the caproom
That bulletin board material is overrated IMO. The fight game wouldn’t be what it is without it... either you’re gonna win or lose, I don’t think comments make a team better. Sometimes emotions get in the way of execution, so it could go either way.
No top player is gonna want to play here right now...If we had Trevor Lawrence then thats a diffrent story but we have Sam Darnold and nothing else.
