I'm pretty sure when Idzik cut Mark last year he had money due on his contract for 2014. So he got paid by the Eagles and by the Jets not to play. He was ok with the Eagles better than I thought he'd be. Not sure if Chip wants him back. He was a big fan of Mark in the past but maybe after a season he feels the same way that most of us do. Don't want him back!
If we got QB play in 2013 like Mark gave Philly last year we easily make the playoffs, if we got QB play last year like Mark gave Philly we are at least playoff contenders late in the year and not a 4 win disaster.
Mark would be a huge upgrade at QB for us but that ship has sailed unfortunately. why would you want the Bills to get better?

If we got QB play in 2013 like Mark gave Philly last year we would have made playoffs, I did not say 2014. Philly missed the playoffs b/c their defense stunk, we missed the playoffs in 2013 b/c our QB stunk. we were a game away from being a playoff team.
I saw Sanchez and he was underwhelming. To say he would have put the Jets into the playoffs is asinine even for you. Thanks to him Philly didn't make it this past year.
2013 we missed by one game, our biggest problem was awful QB play. Sanchez played well in Philly, if you truly watched that team you would know why they missed the playoffs. It boggles my mind the way adults cannot read.
So he couldn't get the Eagles a better team than the Jets to the playoffs but with Sanchez he could have gotten us to the playoffs. Which means the great Mark would have single handedly won an extra 6 games. Come on man!

I'm not sure Mark would be a "huge" upgrade but he certainly made improvements in Philly. I'm more a fan of Sanchez and Ryan than a Bills hater. This Buffalo team is going to be 09-10 Jets 2.0 but with a better defense already in place and experience under Rex's belt. Not saying they'll reach the AFC title game but if Sanchez does land the job and plays how he did in Philly or better I see them in the playoffs, something I don't see for us unless we go major FA shopping which isn't responsible long term.
They have the pieces to make a run if they get decent QB play. They don't need a top QB, just decent. Mark would give them that and big game experience. I do not want him ending up in Buffalo, I wish they signed McCown. I would like Mark to stay in Philly or go to another NFC team so I can still root for him.
As much as I hate Mark he could have maybe won one more game than Geno in 2013. This is very questionable coming off of a horrible year in 2012. So I'm not agreeing with you by any means. But the Chargers made the playoffs in 2013 off of a 9-7. Not sure if we finished that season at 9-7 if we would have made it and what the tie breakers were with SD. Who knows maybe with Mark we would have been 4-12 in 2013. Not impossible. We'll see if Chip wants him around after he sucked in enough games to take them out of the playoffs.
we would have won at least another game or 2 w/ Mark in 2013. Chip wants him back, in what role I don't know but I know he wants him back. My guess is in a perfect world for Chip Mark comes back starts the year and he moves up to get Mariota for the long term.
How do you know that Mark would have won 1 or 2 more games than Geno. You're basing it on his 2014 season with Chip. And greatly over exaggerating his performances. He was ok for him. But not good enough to win.

Mark at his worst was never as bad as Geno 2013 and in 2013 while we didn't have a ton of talent we had a lot more than 2012.
