I believe the opposite of the bold to be true. His inaccuracy comes from when he tries to "rip it" late. His ability to throw with touch and anticipation is underdeveloped but he can do it.
Allen was sacked 5 times and hit his head on the turf just before halftime today, against the Bengals. He was cleared to return, but if I were a fan of his team, I’d be concerned.

Oh man. Josh Allen looked like a High School Quarterback once finally seeing an NFL starting defense. Even against vanilla preseason play calling he was God awful, just as I predicted coming out. He's not going to make it against exotic Defensive play calling. That's why I'm a fan of power conferences such as the SEC & the ACC etc. Playing for Wyoming against defenses like "NEVADA RENO" and "SAN JOSE STATE" and "NEW MEXICO' etc does not prepare you for the NFL. lol the guy is an epic fail.
You can't blame him for the poor oline but he has pretty bad pocket presence, much like Sanchez and Geno. Darnold on the other hand has great pocket presence and a terrific internal clock. He has that 6th sense. Feels the rush well. Knows how much time he has. That stuff you just can't teach. Allen also doesn't have that natural touch on the football that Darnold has. He guns it in way too often during instances that he should take something off it. Darnold knows exactly when to gun it in and when to go offspeed
So far our line looks better. But who knows. Darnold looks years better than Allen though. Allen was the one QB I didn’t want, and being the pessimistic Joey fan, was sure we’d end up with.
No chance they were taking him after the Hackenberg mistake. I think the Jets had a brief flirtation with him early on in the process but if the Giants took Darnold we were definitely taking Rosen. We were not taking a project like Allen Allens tape was trash as well. He just can't make any pre snap reads. The guy is so lost. He's a pure thrower. Not a football player Plus remember with our O-Line Beachum wasn't in there vs Wash and NYG Plus who knows on cutdown day we will likely add to the O-line somewhere.
In Allen's defense: Bills RT- Crap RG- Garbage C- Shit LG- Piss LT- Vomit. At this point I think they have no choice but to go with Peterman. He has looked the best for them in preseason. He also seems to get rid of the ball a lot quicker which is a must playing behind that OL. I realize Peterman thru 5 INT"s in the 1st half against the Chargers last year but what choice do they have. McCarron is hurt and Allen will get killed out there especially in regular season action when teams start game planning.
QBs have to read the defense and make the right line calls, ID the blitz. I'd bet he's partly to blame . Look how much worse our OL played with Petty at qb
Bills are going to be pitiful this year. They're screwed with whoever they run out as QB. It really needs to be be Peterman. To throw Josh Allen into this kind of fire is unforgivable. Start Peterman, take your 3-13 and hope Allen improves for next year
Kept saying all along start Peterman. And really that he has done well. Allen is up and done. McCarron over his injury never got a chance.
