Again, all this trade back talk is great but it's not realistic at the moment. A dynamic player that we don't want must be there for a team to want and trade up. Unfortunately this isn't madden, trading down isn't possible at all times.

We need a tackle on this team, and an elite tackle like Lewan is ideal in the scenario I presented earlier on.

You don't pass up a solid OT.

The problem is easliy solved, Lewan goes to RT. Lewan is an outstanding insurance policy for Brick amd Howard moves to RG, a better position for him because of his lack of good footwork.

Last night I had typed up a long nice response... and then my computer died. I was fucking pissed to say the least haha.

I give props to being so simple- no trade downs and non of that full offseason mock crap haha. Focusing on the most important part, the prospects. Now as much as I would love to trade down, I do understand it would be very tough for us to. Unless someone behind us LOVES a prospect that drops to us, we will most likely have to stay put.

Lewan is a great consolation prize for staying put. Could definitely be a top 5 RT in the NFL and could maybe even take over at LT if something happened to Brick. I like the pick. If an option opened up where we could trade back and draft Eric Fisher, I would also like that (hypothetically).

Nuk is definitely a nice pick in the 2nd. I dont really care what most people say, Im with you- we need playmaker and talent all over this offense. We are in no place to say that WR shouldnt be addressed... I really am not a fan of Holmes and who knows how he responds coming back from his injury. Kerley is the only solid WR, and thats all he really is. Edwards is an alright stopgap, but lets not act like having him solves our WR position. Hill is still a huge question mark. Nuk is a football player unlike Hill and should be an impact player immediately. Another WR I would love is Markus Wheaton- reminds me of a Mike Wallace Chad Johnson combo.

Jamison is probably my 2nd favorite RB behind Gio. Hes just one of those players that I can see having success in the NFL. He's built like the modern prototypical RB and is a dual threat.

I cant really speak much of Collins because I havent really seen him, but Im definitely with you on Dri Archer. One of my favorite things that you did was add playmakers which is something we did not have at all last year. I would feel much more comfortable handing this offense over to a rookie hopefully next year than what it currently looks like.

Do you think with his height, Howard can make a good transition to guard?

I don't think that's an issue, Howard is a better than avergae run blocker, he moves people. Howard has poor footwork and can't seal the edge at RT.

I looked up the 49ers guards for the hell of it and their RG Alex Boone is 6'8 so it could work. According to PFF he was I think a top 5 run-blocker in terms of tackles. I would be for it... Slide him into RG and in this scenario Lewan at RT and that would look good, at least on paper.

I like the mock over all JTJ. I also agree with you that no draft is fix all the problems for next year. Too many around here are doing mocks with 3+ trade downs to try and get 6 or 7 day two picks and take every thing. It's just too far from reality.

We need to solidify our oline. Howard was ok this year but as you said you do not pass up on an elite prospect if he's there for the taking. We need to replace both guard spots and Vlad seems set to get one of them, moving Howard in could be the other. I'm not in love with two decent at best pass blocking guards though.

Addressing WR and RB is important as well. I would really love to see an earlier OLB, but can't argue against your picks as well. One thing is certain, we need to get the GM and OC in place soon so we can solidify our philosophy on offense to see what picks fit.

Happens to me all the time bro.

If Milliner drops to us I could see Tampa trading up, but not many trade up prospects will be there.

Unfortunately, I'm replying to this after her declared, which sucks for my mock. If we dont get a RT this year, I want him next year, desperately. I like Eric Fisher a lot, I'd just like to see more of him at the combine.

I simply put Nuk in here because of how talented he is. If he ever got to our 39th pick, I dont see how we arent at the podium in 15 seconds. We need more depth and offensive weapons, we're one of, if not the worst team in that department. I remember watching Wheaton against Arizona, he ripped them apart, seems like another guy to watch out for.

He can be a starter out of the gate IMO, I just think his numbers will drop him to the 3rd. But like I said prior, he can easily be a 2nd round prospect. I want to see him blow up drills at the combine.
I believe Dri still hasnt made his decision, although I believe he will declare. Hes a must draft IMO, hes so dynamic. Anybody who puts up those kinds of numbers at any level deserves to be in the NFL. Although watch him go to a team like the Pats (worst nightmare). Collins is an interesting prospect, all he needs is weight to become a starter in this league IMO. Hes so athletic and can actually play in coverage, hes a project, like I said in the original post, but worth it. Hopefully, he plays in the Senior bowl.

Thats what Im saying. A ton of trade downs is just not realistic. Fun to think about and its good for getting names out there but I just wanted to make this as consistent with the actual draft as I could.

Its too bad Lewan stayed at school, he'd be such a perfect pick for us. IMO, we need to go Offense, so Warmack is my #1 realistic pick. Eric Fisher could also be a trade back backup, depending on his workouts.

This draft should be all about weapons. The BPA WRs, RBs, and TEs should all be on our list from rounds 2-7. This team really needs depth, I wouldnt care that much if we didnt pick a defensive player, even though OLB is such a need.

I'm hoping Gamble is still our guy, but if not this new GM better be a draft specialist. This team really needs that badly with such a shitty cap situation.

As for Nuk in the second, do you guys think it will hurt Hill's development in the upcoming season?

Holmes & Kerley = 2 starting WR. Braylon/Hill will alternate with hopefully Hill taking more snaps. The OC will change but Rex is still HC. I'm not seeing a wide open aggressive style where so many WR get the chance to be productive. Or maybe this is the chance to add a quality receiver now so next season is the last one for Holmes?

Taylor Lewan looks like he's going back to Michigan.

Don't think the Jets will have the willing partners to trade back so do you all think #9 is too early for guard (like Chance)? I'd be OK with taking a stud guard. Slauson/Vlad hidden between Mangold & Brick. Stud RG & average RT (Howard) will add some stability to the right side of the line.

Lewan returning to college has hosed a lot of mock drafts.
