    well done

I've been hearing a lot about this Jabaal Sheard guy on this site, what player in the NFL do you guys think he compares to?

Idk why you quoted mystikol but Its kinda hard to compare him to one player, I've heard Brian Orakpo, Lamarr Woodley, Justin Babin, Terrell Suggs.

It honestly matters how he translates to the NFL in the end. IMO he is the perfect weak side LB similar to DWare (not saying he will be that effective) he can rushes the passer with ease and make many plays go to the opposite side just because of his effectiveness. Only time will tell though.

As funny as it is to say, the one guy I think of when I watch him is:

Hands, leverage, speed off the snap, question marks against the rush, and most importantly relentless pursuit. The difference is Sheard doesn't get hurt, while JA is made of breadsticks.

** Also, JA is nicknamed the predator, and Sheard looks like the actual Predator:

Wow now that i think about it he is very similar to Johnny Abes, which is good news for us because he can actually stand and still be as an effective pass rusher as JA is in a 4-3. I really hope he'll be there at the end of the 1st as projected. Btw im not really sure he'll need to have this asset but who is he in pass coverage? He is a tall guy with long arms so batting down passes shouldnt be to difficult but how is he when the pass is his direction?

Don't you think the red flags will deter the jets from taking him????

Have squeaky clean players given the Jets a pass rush? Give me the "criminal" SOB...

We desperately need some aggression in our pass rush.

Sheard sounds like a mean SOB...prefer that to some limpdick pansy who refuses to sack the QB.

exactly, we need an overaggressive player on the field who can bring similar to what James Harrison brings to the game on D, the madder he gets the better he plays. This is one of the reasons we didnt win against the Steelers because we were too calm, we need a guy, even if he's a rookie, out there who will just be unforgiving.

Like many have said, Rex needs to find his Terrell Suggs this year, Sheard can be that and bring that aggression on every down.

If Sheard's stock rises enough, take him with 30.

Justin Houston and JA are better pass rushers than Beal. What they don't do well is stop the run, but that can be fixed with a year of coaching under Rex.

These guys will be 3rd down specialists in their 1st year, but they'll come along and kick ass down the road. No OLB is a complete package this year, and only a good scheme and good DL is going to make them look awesome until they mature into guys that can take over.

Thats sort of what I tried to do for this draft, re-up the Dline so that Sheard and Pace can get there sacks. Guy can command two on some plays and so can Ellis, and if theirs anyway Jenks comes back with some effectiveness that line will be unstoppable. Of course if not Pouha can definitely create problems as well. Should be exciting if we can get these guys either way.

Great mock draft. I watch very little college, so I really rely on the work that everyone puts in to these mock drafts to understand what's going on. Positionally though I think you identified the needs.

Not knowing the depth of the class, I'd love for us to trade down for a couple of 2nds or something like that.

Thanks man ,appreciative comments are always welcome. I'll be doing at least 3 more before draft time so keep a look out if your interested . And I'd love to accumulate more picks but only if the guy we want arent there and the trade is some what fair.

He can be a complete OLB?. I've seen him more as a complete ilb. Unless we are talking 4-3? then he's a complete OLB.

I should have been more specific.

I really like the order of the positions drafted in their respective rounds...only questions are- is Jabaal Sheard able to stand up and cover, plus he doesnt seem like an elite speed/ pass rusher. Also, if we drafted a safeety in the fourth round, would he be good enough to start if pool isnt back?
