Has anybody caught Yankee radio lately? John Sterling - "Annnyyywayyyy, annnyyyonnne who tries to predict this game of baseball, is just can't be done!!!! It just can't be done!!!!. Theeeee pitch, it's called ball four! No, it's called strike two! Annnyywayyy... here's my little companera Suzyn Waldman with an amaaazzzzing insight into this game of baseball...." Suzyn Waldman - "You know, John if Robinson Canoe knew what was causing his slump, he would stop doing it!" John Sterling - "Annyyywayy,, thanks for that amazzzzinnggg insight, Suzyn. Is there anything else to say????" Suzyn Waldman - "Yes, you can't win ballgames if you don't score runs!" John Sterling - "That is sooooo true, Suzyn, sooo true! Isn't that amazzzinnnnggg? Isn't that ammmazzzingggg?" Suzyn Waldman - "Yes, it is amazing!!!"
This thread reminded me that I have only listened to Yankees baseball on the radio only once this year, if you don't count those miserable experiences in the Yankee Stadium concourses when they play it over the speakers.
John Sterling is an underappreciated genius, and you can tell every time he says "You just can't figure out baseball."
Mike Francessa candidly advised John Sterling to get an eye test today. This seriously is a concern. Francessa bought up one incident yesterday with Gary Sheffield at bat. "The pitch....lined into left field, it might drop in for a hit. OH, WAIT, its a home run deep into the left field bleachers......"
I'm sorry dude but your comparing a 17 year old thats probly in the GCL right now to AROD?????? Are you Serious???:rofl::rofl:
