Idzik is throwing Rex under the bus... He's preaching preperpation and consistency, "Talent is there" cites scoring opening 3 drives in GB,.. scoring 5 straight drives in NE.
It's a passionate, very well written talk but unless the Q&A gets down to it, he's not answering the 2 big questions: (1) Did you overrate the talent on this team ? (2) If this team was expected to contend this year, why leave $20 MM in cap room unused ?
talking about how gut wrenching its been for the organization and the fans. managing to keep bringing up his historical ties to the Jets, and his long career around football. (obviously he realizes his resume is being questioned) accepted responsibility for current state of team, and has been introspective on what could have been done differently (ie, he has miscalculated how a terrible season could submarine his future plans) did some sucking up to Woody. (obviously realizes his job on the line) praising Rex and coaching staff.. said he's got to know them all quite well, and he likes them. also said on same page with short and long term goals. praised toughness of some of the players, namely Richardson (of course his pick). talked about some good things we've done, but cited all the inconsistency. namely red zone offense and red zone defense. (no shit. we suck at QB and CB, which is why we are losing)
Idzik answer: "its a process.. we knew talent is here... it's a process... we expect to contend every year but it's a process.. did I mention it's a process?
This guy is a total disaster, his press confrence is worse than his draft picks and F/A signings. He just bantering on making refrences to " good moments" he's pathetic. He knows than plan works. Lol

Idzik sounds like a nut job. nobody is questioning how hard damon harrison plays if he thinks there's enough talent at QB and WR or on the OL, he's delusional
