Agreed, and that's one reason I'd be really iffy about this trade. Vilma's a great player and get the right personnel around him and I think he'll flourish in the system. I will point out, however, that all the people saying that CJ wouldn't be a good deep threat for us is being retarded. Chad's arm strength limits him on medium-to-short balls, which become lofted rather than frozen ropes (see Leon and Coles getting destroyed in the Christmas Miami game last year). His loft is an excellent deep ball, however. Having a burner who can go up for that ball and bring it down would completely open up our offense. I'd only do this deal for Johnson, or else we're most likely reaching. I'm not as big a fan of Quinn as others here are and I think that Peterson's knee is a time bomb ready to go off. I'd also like the idea of getting Rodgers back as NT and if you switch Coles with Vilma. I know this sounds like a Madden trade, but I'd do Coles/#25/#37 for Johnson/Rodgers if I could. However, I highly doubt that Detroit would want Coles considering the state of their WR corps. I honestly just really, really don't like the idea of giving up Vilma. I need to give this deal more thought. However, CJ would add a whole new dimension to our offense, someone who can go up for that deep ball and doesn't need many yards after the catch to make it a huge play.
