Luckily there’s not already a thread where this opinion, not rumor, was discussed for far too long.

This was always a ridiculous and stupid piece of speculation from a guy who’s lost relevancy

To someone who doesn’t value running backs, what’s the only thing worse than paying significant money to a running back who’s on your team?

Paying significant money to a running back who *isn’t* on your team, which the Jets would’ve been doing if they ate the dead cap associated with a Bell trade.

Furthermore, trading the top free agent 2 months after signing him would’ve abolished all credibility for the team with future free agents.

Maybe they trade Bell after this season if they get the right offer, but any speculation that they’d do so before the season is absolute nonsense.

It's possible, but if we win games this season with him and Sam excels, he isn't going anywhere.

Williams might pay some defensive players to injure Gase. LOL

Players who are just drafted are on a different set of rules compared to veterans, it's like that in every league so a draft pick being traded doesn't answer the question.

I guess it is allowed, since this report caused so much commotion... man, the NFL CBA really sucks for the players
