Sanchez was shaky at best in the first 2 seasons and they went all the way to the conference championship both of those years. It was more than the QB position that turned to shit in 2011, and if you don't get that... then you're the least knowledgeable poster of 2011.
It was primarily the QB position and if you don't get that then you either didn't watch the games at all or you win the title hands down. Even Tannenbaum says that pretty much (of course I can't stand him either but I am sure you worship him)
I watched all of the games multiple times, understood them far better than you ever will, and am also not prone to oversimplifying my understanding of football to make a weak point. Sanchez sucked past a certain point of the season, as did many aspects of the team for reasons that are multiple and not as simplified as you would repeat monotonously on this forum. Don, can you be un-boring and un-predictable for more than 3 posts a year? Pretty please?
Only if you can...you can't stand the fact that your golden boy failed miserably last year, can you? The Jets see that, why can't you?
My golden boy? You're so bad at this. I'm not sure why that's always a surprise. Maybe because you get worse each season?
Why else would you be defending him? Oh, and it's probably because I get even more right every season and I can see how that must reduce you to a babbling fool.
I defend certain aspects of his season because I can be objective, and avoid being an over-simplistic twit as some cannot. I also pay close attention to all aspects of the team and know that one player, even one that plays such an important role on the team, cannot be the sole reason for the collapse of a playoff run. Do I need to write that with crayons on posterboard for you to get it?
Right you are,but the QB stirs the drink and he caused alot else to go bad. Do you expect the offensive line to block all day when he held the ball too dam long? Do you expect WRs to catch balls that were thrown directly into the defenses hands or into the OL backs? COME ON MAN Lay blame where blame is do.
I already have. Now I'm bashing the turd arguments that have no merit. Are you so eager to join the party?
In Don's defense, no one will dispute Sanchez' failings in the last four of the season. He really regressed in my opinion. Accuracy... ball security... poise... timing... you name it. I'm not saying there weren't other failings. But the Jets are "sniffing around" Peyton for a reason. I totally go on record as not agreeing with this, BTW. And I don't want him because Sanchez still needs work. I don't want him because he's finished. Kaput. Washed up. Done. Not worth the money. And not good for us at this time.
When you say the Jets see that what do you mean? If Jet management sees that than Jet management is incompetent and should be replaced. I have my doubts about Sanchez but one thing I will stand by, if Jets management bails on him Jets management deserves to be fired. Manning would be a huge upgrade to almost any team in the league including the Jets. That's a no brainer. The question is does Jets management have any plan to build a SB team around the QB they reached to get or are they going to play the Manning lottery and hope for the best. If playing the lottery is the plan while I would be happy as a Jets fan to take a shot at the brass ring with him, I would also want Tannenbaum and Rex fired. Playing the lottery is a thrill, it isn’t a plan for competent management. Drafting a QB you believe in and building a team around him that can win is.
If this is the case, then why the hell is Mark Sanchez still our quarterback? Namath is just bs-ing. If the locker room was so bad that not even Manning can fix it with his presence among the players, then why would we be content to keep sanchez around who has expontentially less of a chance to command the locker room than peyton would.
Namath is so fucking annoying at this point. Does he EVER have anything positive to say about the team? He was an amazing player in his day and brought the Jets their only SB victory, but that's about the extent of his relevancy.
Obviously there were other factors at play, but Sanchez was BY FAR the worst aspect of the offense in 2011. He was at least 50-60% of the problem alone, and I'm being very generous.
apparently he's already had a change of heart? http://www.metro.us/newyork/sports/article/1119474--exclusive-namath-says-no-to-peyton-wants-sanchez Indecisive nagger I swear ... at this point who cares we'll prob get Peyton and be the laughing stock of the NFL for the next few seasons while Sanchez blossoms in Seattle
