Nope. If you take out that run he's still first in the NFL in kickoff avg at 33+ (3 yds better than Cobb).

You are crazy for thinking Woodhead is better than McKnight. McKnight is an ATHLETE! Athlete's win you games not muggsy bogues type players no matter how much we love their heart.

You have to love the genius that is Belicheck. Having Woodhead on the punt coverage team in the 4th quarter of a preseason game and his season and possibly career is ruined.

That was one hell of a hit put on him. Guy went right for his head too but in defense of whatever Bucc did it' its hard to hit someone 4 feet tall in the chest.

Woodhead sucks at special teams. I still blame him for the 2 tedd ginn jr tds in that game 2 years ago.

Offensively Woodhead has shown more. But in the long run, McKnight is an overall better player/asset.

Vernon Gholston was considered a great "athlete".

    How did that work out?

Football is more than being a great athlete and Woodhead is a perfect example.

Woodhead would be totally useless on any team but the Patriots. He was perfect for the system last year. I don't think there is any question Mcknight is a better football player. He was a top recruit out of high school at multiple positions. This year he has won special teams player of the month. He's played cornerback, wr and rb.

The Jets coaching staff has barely scratched the surface of what he can do. He needs 8 to 10 touches every week.

Woodhead is so valuable as a running back they always send him downfield on punt defense plays to get his tiny little head bashed in.

Are you really comparing the #6 overall draft pick to someone who was drafted #67?

You would have been better off using Eugene Chung for comparison.

You're the one who initially compared Gholston to a fourth rounder

He is definitely a good example of how replaceable a marginal athlete is in the nfl.

No, the comparison was to a player that was perceived as very "athletic", and that was the perception of Gholston.

And MB's comparison to Chad Jackson is another good example. He was athletically gifted but sucked on the football field.
