Half the problem with WFAN is they stack their hosts. They always put people together who pretty much like the same team. It's nice on sports radio to hear hosts who like the different teams. Morning Boomer: Jets, Mets, Knicks, Rangers Carton: Jets, Mets, Knicks Mid-Day Joe: Jets, Mets, Knicks, Rangers Evan: Jets, Mets, Nets, Islanders Afternoon Francessa: Giants, Yankees, Knicks I mean Michael Kay's a little more diverse. Kay: Jets, Yankees, Knicks, Rangers La Greca: Giants, Mets, Devils Bernstein: Unsure, she grew up a Giants fan but says she roots for both.
Don't act like Francesa doesn't talk about the Jets. He does. He may not have a high opinion of them, but he talks about all New York sports teams. He does plenty of Mets coverage, too. That's why I usually listen to him before any of the other guys. Joe and Evan are constantly talking Mets, and it's annoying. I don't give a shit about them. Mix it up a bit.
I was in the car a lot today, caught the last five minutes of Namath on Joe and Evan. So I figured I'd leave it on for some Jets stuff and they talked about ARod for however long after that it took me to find a CD.
