So he can run smack into a wall of bodies. This OL doesn't clear any lanes for him to run regularly so trying to set up the run with the pass is good. Unfortunately, the OL doesn't pass protect well either. The reality is, without a competent OL, Bell isn't going to run for 1000yds this year no matter how many touches he gets.
Touches doesn’t mean carries. Bell is one of the most versatile players in the NFL and our offensive head coach has no clue how to use him.
I missed the part about you saying screens but yeah we were thinking the same thing. get bell the ball in space quickly and let him do his thing
Yes...but it could have gone sideways. Unless you're trying to send a message to a player...trade talks should be kept hush-hush. The Jets can't even get simple football operational things right. There's something hinky with this organization...coaches & players aside.
It's like relationships. If all your exes keep screwing you over in the same way, the problem is you.
except its business and in business employees talk too. things are rarely kept secret. JD didn't do anything wrong here. adams i upset that JD didn't laugh GMs off the phone and tell them to fuck off but that's not how you be a GM. everything is fine. robby egts it, bell gets it, adams will get it at some ponit
You're basing it on how the players react? Just because Robbie & Le'Veon took it well doesn't make it right. Trade talk between teams should not be carried out in public. It's that simple. That's good business. If the Jets let it be known there was interest, calls, offers, negotiations...then they are truly stupid. Whoever's feeding this info to Mannish Mehta needs to be fired...there's a rat in the kitchen. As much as I hate to say it...but every blowhard on sports talk media has said the same thing...the Jets are dumb for letting this stuff out. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2019/1...s-2019-trade-deadline-jamal-adams-leveon-bell
it wasn't carried out in public though. Not sure how any of it leaked. adams said he heard it from his agent, I doubt his agent heard it from JD. most likely one of the teams calling about him contacted his agent which honestly is tampering. Also clearly there are some leaks but same goes for every team. do you really think JD called manish and told him teams were calling him about adams? lol also ryan clark called adams and told him the jets were shopping him. he's a former player so probably has friends and contacts in the league as well as an ESPN analyst. then he twisted the words around to sound like adams wanted to be traded. Drama sells it's all clickbait nonsense and clearly clark doesn't have much to offer as an actual insider or analysts.
All these so called "leaks" are scripted and staged by the league to garner publicity and get people talking gibberish about a team they would otherwise not be talking about. Who the hell in their right mind calls a press conference to talk about NOT being traded? It's not that difficult for those in the athletic theatrical guild to fool the masses, since most of their target audience is not very adept at critical thinking. From players to management, they're all in on these phony publicity stunts.
