With the drafting of Davis, how do you envision using Maye and Adams? - Very excited to have Ashton and what he brings to the Safety room. - Ashton is going to fill a variety of roles that will use his skill set. - Speed, ball skills. - Single high saftey -- nickle corner -- strong safety.
Is there still a chance to bring in a Veteran QB to back up Sam? - There have been discussions with veteran options at QB. - If the right opportunity presents itself, we will move forward with that. - If the opportunity does not present itself, the QBs on the roster will compete (White, Fales, Morgan) for backup.
How did the remote draft differ for you virtually vs. being in war room? - This is the first ever draft, obviously, he wasn't in the facility. - The IT set up that the guys did for him was pretty close to being there in person. - Had different computers/monitors set up for each different room. - Could jump into different rooms to have discussion (i.e. doctor's, security, management...etc..) - When we got into the flow of the draft, it was really as smooth as it could be. - Being in your home with your family right next door, it was really special.
Just took my lunch break, made a big salami, turkey, and chees sandwich, and read this through. Very much appreciated this GQ!
Thank you for all the updates. Your effort and hard work made my afternoon more enjoyable. Great work and thanks!
Thanks man, it was my pleasure. Shout out to the season ticket holders who asked great questions. The question about the OL chemistry was one I'm concerned about too. Sounds like Joe really doesn't think there's anything they will be able to progress remotely for that. That's a concern.
So the call happened before we announced that Q and Bellamy are out in 2020. Sounds like Cager has a legitimate opportunity to make this team.
