I came in here saying Jim Turner died and no one noticed. I pointed at no one and excluded no one, myself included. Everything after that is what someone else made of it, including you. It's a shame you had nothing to add about Turner but felt a need to chirp anyway. Carry on.
I read he died the day after …. I thought about posting but I got sidetracked. He was a gentleman - a great kicker (leading Jets scorer in SB history lol) and he actually did NFL games on NBC as an analyst in the early 80s with Marv Albert. I recall one particular game against Houston in 1981 at Shea when he went down into the stands to do live interviews (the game is on utube). You don’t see things like that anymore….. Sadly, they are all dropping off as it’s easy to forget all of these guys are in their late 70s- 80s now….:: RIP Jim Turner.
