MclRoy is a carrer backup and nothing more, And sucking for draft picks is the stupidest idea ever. There is no more Andrew Lucks not even in next years draft
I was typing too emotionally in that post. My hatred for Sanchez blinded me. I infact would rather not have a QB beat Mark just to suck for the number 1 pick I went too far. But I stand by McElroy despite what anyone says, I would like him to be the new face of the franchise.
I like the idea of bringing in David Gerrard I felt like the Jags did him a disservice. He can be a stopgap until we draft our next franchise QB. Although I wouldn't have a problem with the Jets starting McElroy.
I mentioned Garrard over a month ago in the QB thread as the guy we should be targeting. He would have been the Dolphins starter last season if not for getting injured. If he can play at least 10 games for us, he'd be a HUGE upgrade over starting the worst QB in the sport.
Bubbles, my main man... Let's sign Garrard to a 2 year contract. Randy can keep Holmes supplied and we can win or at least be totally relaxed.
Not that it means much - but Garrard was throwing darts on last years 'Hard Knocks'. Dolphins head coach had him running first team and probably starting before he went down.
Garrard is a thief. He's not looking to play anymore. He's injured. He can't really play football anymore. Basically, he sucks it up, takes drugs for a few months, works out for a team, looks decent, signs a contract, then gets mysteriously injured while taking a dip into his home swimming pool. Bam, he then rehabs and chills out while getting paid for the year.
I like garrard but he is not a better qb than Sanchez is and Garrard is old with bad knees. A serviceable backup at best. Hilarious to see the insane clown posse thinking he's some sort of savior/ "huge upgrade" HAHAHAHAH !
