The beauty of having Revis on the field is he frees up a Safety to reek havoc all over the field.

BUT when your 'havoc reeking Safety' is Eric Smith, why bother.

Holmes contract should get Tanny fired.

I will never understand why you reward a shit bird like Holmes and fail to reward hard work like #24. From the outside looking in our franchise looks financially fucked. Paying Holmes was a major, major mistake.

the only player worth the highest paid label is a franchise qb. corner are worth good dough, but not revis money. as someone said, you can pay two very good players for the $$$ revis wants.

revis shuts down the teams best reciever but as we've seen, teams just go to other slots. i just don't see giving that kind of money for a cb spot.

Holmes didn't earn shit, unless you are counting his time with the Steelers. He's a slacker, quitter and most likely a cancer. Great resign

I thought we were Ground 'N pound? Who knew a prima donna, bitch ass receiver was needed for pounding the rock?

He was a SB MVP getting better every year, we traded for him and he made a million big plays for us in 2010 helping us get to the doorstep of the SB as his contract expired. Do we forget what he did for us b/c of the way 2011 ended?

He had 700 yards and 6 TDs..those million plays must have been small ones.

Only played 3/4 of the season and made a game winning play on at least 5 occasions.

He played 12 games for a team that ran it more than they passed it and in 3 consecutive weeks he either scored the GW TD late(Hou), set up the GW FG(OT at Det) or scored the GW TD(OT at Cle), he also set up a GW TD drawing a PI at Den, he caught the TD that gave us breathing room in the 4th at NE in the div rd, I can go on and on and on w/ how valuable he was for us in 2010.

Yeah, Holmes had a solid year with big plays. Don't know why we deny him that.

I find it amusing that lots of posters here are bitching about the players when it was the Jet FO who did all these questionable deals.

He had a very good year for us when he had Braylon to take off the heat.

Agreed so friggin much. We are a DEFENSIVE team, and offensively we are a running team. It never made any sense AT ALL as to why we put so much $$$ in a WR. Sanchez played fine without Holmes and was steadily improving, such a waste of money. Could have signed Braylon for $4 million and saved 6 million extra for anyone else.

    ***applause***

Holmes got his contract after a good 2010 season, and last year he showed why he shouldn't have gotten it. Revis got his contract after he showed he deserved him, and he should play out his front loaded contract. After that is up you take care of him again, otherwise if he holds out, trade his greedy ass.
