I don't know why, but I'm confusing myself thinking about this. I don't think what I said is exactly the same. His post does not indicate the only way we miss the playoffs, it indicates how we can clinch this week. I'm not sure, but I don't think it's always the case the clinching scenarios in week 16 indicate the only way you can miss the playoffs.
arent the bears going to bench starters anyway since theyve clinched the north? if so, we'll cruise to a win.
Ok is the ESPN playoff Generator accurate or no... I had the Jets losing out Colts, Jags and Chargers winning out and we still get the 6th seed.
They're going to come to play. Its going to come down to which QB makes more mistakes (not groundbreaking, I know). The good news is that Sanchez knows how to take care of the football when not trying to be a hero. Cutler will be a gunslinger if pressured, and he'll attack Revis. Please, for the love of god go after Revis.
jets can lose out and jags and colts can win out and we still make the playoffs we only miss the playoffs if we lose out jags colts win out and tenn wins 1 game
I'm confused right now because it appears to me that we've already clinched. Based on conference record and SOV. If Colts lose 1 they're out anyway. If they win out they take their division. If the Jags win out we still have them on SOV and SOS, same with the Chargers. Our win against the Steelers really boosted our SOV. I do have a monster hangover so I could be missing something here.
That answers it, but they have to beat the Chiefs which is unlikely so we clinch even if we lose out and the Chiefs win this weekend.
as it stands now 1) NE 12-2 2) Pitt 10-4 3) KC 9-5 4) Indy 8-6 5) Balt 10-4 6) NYJ 10-4 now teams that could wind up winning 10 games and being tied with us (assuming we lose out) Jax and SD now id both of them win out and we lose out and indy wins out it could be a log jam. basically a 10 win team will probably miss the playoffs in the AFC. i'm thinking that it'll be SD. i can see them winning 10 but losing out to KC who has won 11 1) NE 12-2 2) Balt 12-4 3) KC 11-5 4) Indy 10-6 5) NYJ 11-5 6) Pitt 11-5 SD missed out at 10-6 We open against indy at indy pitt plays KC and i think the 2 wild card teams advance making pitt face NE and us face Balt
