I think Woodhead will get better, the more he knows the offense. I think you're underrating the little guy.
I might be underrating him but people are definetly overrating him here. Hes a less talented welker who can catch a lot of the same passes but will never do as well. Hes just so damn little one of these games hes going to step into a dibbit and never be seen again.
Woodhead is averaging 6.3 yards per touch with New England. There are a lot of backs in the NFL would be tickled to death to have that stat. So he may not get any better, but he is doing pretty darn good right now.
We waived Danny Woodhead? When did this happen?! In all honesty, I'm happy for the guy even if he does play for the Pats.
Holy shit stop crying about Woodhead, let it go. Go be a Pats fan if you love the fucking guy so much.
NE has nothing around Brady, the man is amazing that he has this team winning w/ the RBs and WRs he has. The TEs are good but young but that's about all he has around him. Woodhead is nothing more than an average player at his peak and the more he plays the less effective I think he will be. The reason all offseason I was worried about NE was b/c of #12 and those fears are coming true but as great as he is how can he keep this up w/ the lack of talent around him?
question. Does anyone truly believe that Woodhead would be averaging anything close to 6 yards per touch with the Jets?
Not fair to disparage the guy. Watch the games, will ya? When he catches a little dumpoff and makes two moves to get past the sticks it's got nothing to do with who else is playing receiver. Fact is he was getting better here too as his touches started to increase. He's fast and a tough little SOB and that's all there is to it. To say he'll get hurt is stupid because anyone can get hurt. The biggest strongest guys in the league get hurt too.
How do you figure his touches started to increase here? He played one game and didn't touch the ball.
