Eh, I think it's better to let a play play out and reverse it if you have to, as opposed to whistling the play dead and preventing a potential reverse of possession.

Jets risk a turnover with every 3 yard run up the gut, other teams risk that on plays downfield. That's the problem with the offense. You weigh a turnover against a 3 yard gain, or 10X that and a score. I'd rather risk the latter.
