Yes, yes, I am familiar with rex and his daddy.

You know what they both have in common when it comes to the Steelers?

They lose to them in the playoffs.

    All the time.

    :)

I know, wasn't that awesome when the Titans organization begged to have the Myron's Curse lifted?
But you might be right about it being something the players have to participate in.

I actually think Myron said that...

Along with the one miracle/play off appearance.

Good thing the team will be able to bank that until the Superbowl.

Clearly not the SOJ. We can all agree on that. Two consecutive trips to the AFC championship game is proof of that, regardless of whether or not they win. Beating the Pats is what they are built to do, and it is possible the Pats may not dominate your division like they have in the past, thanks to Coach Ryan.

Beating the patsies yesterday was beautiful.

I was cheering them on every play.

    But...

I didn't see January football being played....

Buddy Ryan never coached vs the Steelers in the playoffs.

Rex did lose as DC in 2008 in the AFCCG

No, but as a DC with the oilers who were in the Steelers division, he could never get past them either.

He was DC in Houston in 1993. The Oilers won 23-3 and 26-17

Well, he was the mastermind of the Purple People Eaters that the Steelers beat in the Super Bowl.

Technically not the playoffs....but lost to the Steelers post season none the less

Eh, you might be right about that, but he did lose a Superbowl to Pittsburgh as a Viking.

I knew there was a playoff game in there some where.

It was the Steelers first of many.

I had him confused with Bum Phillips for a while.

    Similar personalities, looks, and temperament...

Buddy Ryan got his first Super Bowl ring with the Jets. His defense shut down the Colts. Now Rex wants a Jets SB Ring too.

The Steelers have quite the history of losing in the AFC Championship. Not that it matters tho.

you have to get there to lose it. Like you said, it does not matter, not sure what that comment means to anyone. So if the Jets lose this one they are a bad team or something? No, Of course not. Teams dream of getting that close to a Superbowl.....

    I stand corrected.

He just lost a lot of my respect now. I was always under the impression he masterminded the Purple People Eaters, here he was a hanger on, after the fact......My bad. I guess Rex isn't as genetically fitted for the job as I once thought. Bummer.

    Here is the difference:

Sanchez, one incident where he was invited into the girl's dorm room and was asked to take off all his clothes, and then she decided to put on the breaks once it got too heavy, with many people to vouch for his character and the girl admitting to it being consensual, not being assault.

Rapelisbuger, well, he has a long string of incidents and unwanted aggressive/harassing behavior toward women. Yeh, he didn't get charged and you Pitt fans can cling to that all ya want. But you have to look at it this way, with all the accusations and people who went to college with him throwing stories around about incidents they either witnessed or heard of, either he is the biggest moron to ever wear black and gold because he just keeps putting himself in bad situations, or the allegations are true. So either you are rooting for an idiot or a rapist. And just because he didn't get charges doesn't mean he isn't guilty. Just ask O.J.

And one more thing, how do you root for an organization that decides that they need to make an example out someone for all the off-field behavior issues, and they choose a guy who got in trouble for a little bit of grass over a guy who has been accused of sexual assault on several occasions? If that doesn't seem a little twisted, I don't know what does. But I will tell you this, I believe that decision for a measly 5th rd. draft pick is going to come back and haunt you this weekend.
