People are seriously blaming Fitz for the first half? I'm not his biggest fan but the receivers themselves had two turnovers and the third should have been like a punt that was just too overthrown and Ed Reed made a great play on it.
The QB position is to Jets offense what the edge rusher position is to the defense. Until this team gets a good pass rusher, it doesn't matter how "ferocious" our front seven is. Washington has no offensive line and our team still can't get any pressure. We need a Von Miller or Clay Matthews type player for this defense to ever be really elite.
The Jets are always good for blowing a couple of games a season that you completely expect them to dominate. This is starting to feel like one of those games.
Fitz plays a role in the score, but isn't even close to the main reason. The WRs are more to blame. Fact.
The Skins are basically a less talented version of the Jets playing much better than the Jets today. God I hate the NFC East, we never do well against any of these teams except occasionally the Cowboys.
More like four threads. Four new threads every week. Why isn't there just one giant Geno-Fitz debate thread? That would unclog about a quarter of the thread traffic in the Jets forum.
We're 3-1 and only down 13-10 at halftime. What team, in their right mind, would bench their QB at this point?
You're the one all worked up, not me. Marshall deflected the ball and CB still grabbed it, while flying. There is a load of things Fitz could've done better, this INt is not on him.
Well it doesn't help when the receivers end two drives in less time than the NFL takes to get through a commercial break.
I need to see intensity. The Redskins have all the intensity. Considering how bad the Jets were last season I would think that NONE of these guys would come out and think it was going to be a "walk" today. Now they see the Skins' are an actual Professional football team and they need to "step up" their game and play the way they are capable. Period. Our defensive line should be in Cousin's dish the rest of the game...no excuses.
All fueled by deficient qb play......nothing personal. Fans see a great d, great rb, two great wrs........and we wonder........
