We had over 40 yards rushing during our first drive off the fumble recovery. So - while I am well aware of the Jets offensive identity and the fact we can't "pummel the ball down their throats" - we clearly came out and had success moving the ball on the ground, since then we have struggled to pick up first downs and haven't had a single big play and its because our last couple of series have been too pass heavy. Weeks back we did blow out Green Bay, and it was the ground game that facilitated the blow out. So while you may think I am barking up the wrong tree, I feel that there is strong rationale behind my comments... Either way... I JUST WANT THE WIN!!!!!
While I had hoped for better, realistically, this has been pretty much what I expected so far. There was now way the raiders were not going to show up and try their best. Football is either kick ass or get your ass kicked...no one shows up half-hearted or they'll get their ass kicked and they know it. Now the 4th quarter of a blowout, that's a little different. I look for the Jets to score on the opening drive, and then start putting a little more distence between them. THEN the Raiders may pack their tent.
Jets get the ball to start the half - it would be very nice to get a TD to pretty much put the game out of reach.
It would be very great. Very very great. We need to tire this defense out. Just like we did to them on that last drive.
I agree but Baker could be as well, I think with Chad's range he should be utilizing him more, just my opinion!!!
Steelers and Chiefs both winning, we may make the playoffs even if the unthinkable happens. But let's take care of business!
