note tho that 3rd 1/4 the pats were not running best plays from playbook, save for closer games i think tho not sure.
They would get thrown of the league. It's why you can cut low on OL and DL and cause major injuries to them. It's why the OL and DL will smash heads a lot too that is legal. But you can't do that to WR or QB.
Don't forget the lack of faith by kicking a FG right before the half, if that wasn't waving the white flag what is?
Only two of those TD's in the second quarter were even semi legit. How often do you see a QB run into the ass of his offensive lineman and then fumble? How often does a guy fumble on a kick return and it pops up in the air and a guy on the other team catches it in perfect stride and walks in for a TD? Those were two fluke plays that you might never see again. On that long TD by Edelman, Landry simply just slipped. Lets be real here. We gave up 28-35 non fluke points. Thats not good, but thats not a meltdown. If this offense didn't turn the ball over every damn drive, and the Patriots hadn't scored on these fluke plays, it would have been a very competitive game. My point is, yeah, the scoreboard says we got blown out of the water, but take away the fluke TD's and all the Jets turnovers on offense, and this would have been a competitive game.

It was from the 14 yard line. If it was inside the 5 that would be one thing, but going for it from the 14 is a very low percentage play. I would've kicked the FG as well. Better a 99% chance of 3 points than a 5% chance of 7.
