That's what surprised me, he was with him all the way till the point when he played the ball. He took himself out of the play.
Who cares what he does at practice? I do. He's always blasted for his stoic demeanor in games and is always called out but reality is he coaches this team up during the week to play hard come day and more often than not they do. He's a good football coach regardless of what this fan base says.
He seems to be a good motivator; however, he's not a good football coach. Terrible game day decisions, never makes adjustments, poor clock management, etc...
I don't care what he does during practice, and his stoic demeanor is not bothersome to me. It's what he does on Sundays that matters to me, and so far he is on the verge of 3 non playoff years with the jets and a second losing season. That's what HC are judged on. You want to give him another 3 years to probably figure it out? Personally I don't want to see him back on sideline if jets go 5-11 or 6-10. Let Mac hire the next HC, and hopefully it's an offensive minded one.
