Yep. Figured Collinsworth jinx'd the team with the 'no td's but no one hurt' talk. These guys are feeling it right now- it's cut time. You start building bonds. If this team can come together, the individuals (Hunter, Hill) on the team will rise to the occassion- for the sake of the team. There's no more compelling motivation than to do well for your friends and family, your team.
For sure. I was watching the Hard Knocks episode where he worked out for them, he was talking about Rex Ryan/the Jets and how much he loved his experience here, it made me cringe to say the least.
He wouldn't proved much besides a redzone target, which isnt exactly bad, but definitely limits the WR core still. We have to get down the field first before we can worry about the redzone.
Lack of TD's would fall in drops. He was slinging it because he wasn't captain checkdowning it. He was stepping up and launching it, something this offense lacked last year. Why was he doing this, becuase Howard and having his full WR set. Because they have had Greene going forward not backward and have had some good holes to run through. It obviously can be better and can be worse, so neutral.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. Giving Holmes the big contract, instead of Braylon was a mistake. Sanchez had a better rapport with Edwards than with Tone; and, Braylon is a much better blocker, and deep threat, which makes him much better suited to our offense.
Why can't Sanchez take some mustard off those short passes when the receiver is wide open? Hill has to make the catch, but Sanchez could show better touch. So many of his picks last year were identical to the one tonight.
I will say this, I dont think this is our offense at all, this wildcat thing will be a big time factor in our offense, the fact that we havent run it (and I understand why) maybe the reasoning behind some of our inefficiencies.
Unfortunately we couldn't see a year ahead and know we needed that type of player and our OC was changing.
I don't understand, the guy can still catch a ball, he put up 650 recieving yards last year in a Brian Schottenheimer system where he was hardly used. Lets' stop fooling around and bring him back because we need him and can use him.
Wait....so if he was getting 1 yard a carry it's a neutral because he isn't going backwards? He's averaging 2.6 a carry? If there are holes, he isn't hitting them. Give me a break.
