Very smart of coach not to run the 2 minute drill. You dont want teams knowing what you will do in the 2 minute and this game is broadcast everywhere tonight , many rival coaches and players are watching so no sense in helping them prepare for the real thing come reg season
Because I said that? People have serious reading comprehension problems. Positives from this game outweigh the negative so far. OH and we haven't utilized a supposed big part of the offense yet either. Positive +Chunk plays +Sanchez slingin it +Howard +Defense defense defense +Whoever was kicking and the punter +WR at times. Neutral run game Negative -McKnight -Drops -Injuries
The point of football is to score more points than the other team. Not to hold them to fewer yards. So there are some nice positives but one big negative.
They play a very different game. Hill wouldnt learn much from Plax besides some redzone plays. Hill needs to master route running and catch the ball with his god damn hands instead of his body. It would of been a better idea to bring back Braylon. We could of ran Braylon and Hill on the outside with Holmes in the slot, that would of helped Sanchez big time. Braylon still loves Ryan and NY.
You said this game reaffirms the Jets are a 7-10 win team. We still can't score a TD. No reading comprehension issues there. Shall I quote it for you? How, with no TD's, including being handed the ball on the opponents 10, does this game affirm the Jets are a 7-10 win team? The D continues to be VERY solid, but man, it's a bitch to win when you can't score. Please explain the 7-10 win affirmation you observed that half.
Too bad he's on the Seahawks roster now. Man I miss the days of (good) Holmes, Edwards & Cotchery. At least Sanchez looked very solid in passing the ball.
I know this, Plax catches that ball in the endzone that the reciever missed in the 1st half. Yes, resign Plax now please.
To clarfiy to the posters who seemed offended I'm not deeming the season a failure yet, We look like a 7-10 win team. Which is the ballpark of the the last 3 years. Which could be good enough for the playoffs. Obviously there are problems which would lead to the 7 wins that could creep up. But there is nothing that screams to me we are heading for a top 5 draft pick
He still looks great IMO but the minimal amount of targets is really effecting him, its apparent he can make completions with this team, and actually doesn't look shaky.
Again....you forgot lack of TD's in your negatives. Sanchez is throwing 50% (7-14) and averaging 6.4 a completion. Not blaming him. You have to catch the ball, but thy haven't. How is that "slinging it?" Greene has 10 carries for 26 yards (2.6 per carry). How is that a "neutral"?
Ahem... when you're 6-5" you don't need separation, nobody is going to outreach you for the ball in the endzone. Plax makes DB's look like midgets. Plus they can get him for a reasonable number. I say sign him immediately.
