I agree with you. If our run offense could keep playing well, and McElroy shows he can play efficient enlightened, then he's the way to go.
Winning despite a QB is the falcons winning when Matt Ryan throws 5 picks. This is finding a weakness and exploiting it. We can run 3 times as get first down, why throw?
Something you don't see every day, in fact I don't think I've ever seen it. Each running back has 16 attempts QB has 17 pass attemps, both running backs have gained as much, or more, yardage individually than the QB has passed for yards. Sanchez 72 yards Green 72 yards Powell 76 yards.
This...And when you say a good game manager that is the absolute MINIMUM we should expect from our offense. We should have much higher expectations but the reason why for the last 4 years we have just preached having a good game manager is because we knew the limitations of Sanchez. By saying this, it made him look better because managing the game is really the extent of his ability. He doesn't have the skills to ever be brought into the next realm of conversation for good to great QB's. The Jets deserve to go out and try to find a good to great QB one day.
I disagree. we are not running because we see a weakness. We are running because we do not trust Sanchez with the ball. We know we are running the ball and they know we are running the ball. Its just an amazing job of the OL imposing its will on the defense despite our inability to throw the ball.
