The offense playing this bad against a shitty team is unacceptable, you need to relax. We still have another half to play so lets wait and see.
Considering we normally don't even score until the second quarter, for now, I'm glad we stepped it up in the first half and got a decent amount of points on the board. Too bad I'll be at work for the fourth quarter. I also want us to go back to throwing to Keller more.
shouldnt have come down to having to execute that play, ahd the prior calls not been trash. same with the previous 4 drives, with pathetically terrible play calling. your not going to move the ball throwing 4 yard routes to your FB and backup TE, with an end around to your cornerback thrown in, and running patterns 5 yards short of the stick on 3rd down. we went downfield on the first drive throwing it down the seams and attack downfield.... why go back to that??? shotty is a moron
vs. an awful team that has done nothing on our defense. the concern/criticism has nothing to do with winning this game, and everything to do with seeing more of the same problems that will likely catch up to us down the road.
First of all, obviously you should be happy when your team is up double digits after the first half. Secondly, the Jaguars are not a horrible team. They beat the Titans last week (who also aren't a horrible team) and they nearly won the AFC South last season. The offense rarely looks great but I actually like what I've seen from Sanchez the past couple of weeks because he's been taking shots down field/past the 1st down marker. His 1st pick was bad because he didn't see the bracket coverage underneath but the 2nd one was on 3rd and 15 when he was trying to make a play. Keep in mind that Mangold had to come out of the game right when the running game was starting to work. Hunter is the only player on offense that has been noticeably bad in the first half. This team scores points when we need them. This is why we rarely blow teams out. We are a 2nd half team and our defense has been dominant so far. I see more good than bad.
Schotty can't do shit after the script. We march down the field on the first series, awesome. After that, typical Schotty shit. We need a OC. Every year our Defense carries us and the offense underperforms to its talent.
i think it'd unfair to bash schotty here as the injuries and poor execution are the main story. i don't like him, but in this case it's hard to point a finger at him.
You really can't use last year as a measure of the Jags when they dumped Garrard in the offseason. We're not playing well on offense. There's really no disputing that, but I'll worry about that after the game. For now, I'm glad they're leading.
ALL we have to do is stop MDD and we will crush them this half. If not it wil be a nail bitter to the end
