Yeah I hate the 'should have' argument either way. I like to discuss the things that happened in the game not things that "should have" happened.
(via rotoworld) Texans coach Gary Kubiak revealed that Matt Schaub was hospitalized Tuesday night with a bursa sac problem in his knee. Kubiak didn't say if Schaub had surgery, but it sounds like a definite possibility. The head coach only passed along that Schaub is "doing well" and should be back with the team tomorrow. With the Jets' pass defense on the docket, Schaub's injury could be a major blow to Houston's passing attack. Darrelle Revis held Andre Johnson to 35 yards on four catches last season.
bursa injuries can resolve pretty quickly. Obviously I have no idea what the nature and extent of Schaub's situation it. But based on the info I have seen, I presume that he will be starting this week. Houston should be a good game that the Jets should win. It would be nice to see our offense exploit the Houston D as the Jags just did.
I'd expect the coaching staff to try & push Shaub out there. Texans are pretty close to having the door shut on them this season. One or two more losses & then they can sit Schaub down for the rest of the season. They've got 3 teams to leapfrog to win that division & I'm only seeing the AFC wildcard from Jets/Pats & Steelers/Ravens.
"TheJetsStream Manish Mehta #Texans QB Matt Schaub (knee), WR Andre Johnson (ankle) & TE Owen Daniels (hammy) didn't practice today. Schaub & AJ will def play vs. #Jets" http://twitter.com/#!/TheJetsStream/status/5011137342996480 from 4:30 PM He's playing-
Yeah Daniels is the only one who will be out for the game. That's huge because the Jets can't cover TEs. I don't think Joel Dreessen will be a problem.
who cares if he plays or not. if he plays, we'll still beat them. watch replays of their game and just look at what they do on defense. you can't describe how bad it is. Especially after losing Ryans
Of course. 3 INTs by Sanchez, two fumbles and Revis falls down twice. The Texans would only win by 4.
When the Jets have the ball - score points When the Texans have the ball - keep them from scoring points Special teams- Don't screw anything up Coaching - See Special teams Intangibles - Beer!
In years past that was the case, but according to FO the Jets rank 4th in the NFL against tight ends this season.
Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (knee) was released from hospital Wednesday, Nov. 17, and he is expected to be at the team's practice facility Thursday, Nov. 18, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Yeah I don't get why the TE "problem" gets brought up so much. Just a few games where the TE was the leading receiver. Ravens- 2nd in yards, Heap with 6 receptions for 72. Boldin lead with 110 Pats- A. Hernandez did lead but the rest of the team was completely shutdown. Next closest was 38 yards, A. Hernandez had 101, 0 TD's. Dolphins- Fasano only 14 yards. Bills- Martin only 4 yards Vikings- Shiancoe, just 28 yards Broncos- Graham , 0 yards. Packers- Lee, 5 yards Lions- Scheffler, 22 yards, Pettigrew 18 yards Browns, Watson is their leading receiver he gained 74 yards against us but 0 TD's. Next closest was 37 yards. So out of 9 games only 3 games where the TE lead in receiving but in all of those cases the rest of the crew was shutdown, well except for the Ravens game but that was a messy game. Again Watson is the Browns leading receiver and I was hoping to see Cro on him. For the Pats since the loss of Moss they have run a lot of double TE set so in our next game I expect a lot more attention to be paid to Hernandez.
We just have to score more points than the Texans. If you score more points than the other team scores, and if you prevent the other team from scoring more points than you, you will win the game. /Herm
