Granted Mark's TD run was from about 2-yards out, but I would like to see him run the ball more if he knows he has the open room. Basically, I don't want to see any signs of fear from him from here on out, and I don't think we will to be honest.
Sanchez has gone over 298 yrds two games in a row, look for that trend to continue against the worst pass defense in the league. They do have a good offense so I'm expecting a shoot out. It may take 30+ to win this one.
Did you really just type "newsflash"? I remember reading somewhere that Sancehz isn't 100% confident in throwing the fade yet. Eventually he will be, he's still getting better.
If we give up 30 points to a team that we shut out last season, there is something seriously wrong with this defense...
I just hope we can terrorize the QB on this game. They have a terrible O-Line, and teams in the last few games have their QB standing in the pocket comfortably. 2 sacks aside the last game, McCoy stood pretty comfortable in the pocket. I miss how our defense used to always destroy pockets and get to QB's. Not that we can't do it, but we really need to send more man coverage blitzes with especially with Calvin Pace and Jason Taylor. Pace is just starting to get back in shape but when he gets back i believe he'll be a force.
This is a game we SHOULD win, but they still have an offense we just have to shut down Foster and Johnson
Johnson shouldn't be an issue if Revis is healthy. That one catch in the Browns game was an aberration. Foster should be the focus and Daniels could be the X factor if he's healthy.
2000 Baltimore Ravens didn't score an offensive TD for 5 games straight. Its all good. This is the perfect defense to break out against.
One home shut out. Then victories on the road. The Jets are 5-0 on the road, and 2-2 at New Meadowlands, wins against the Pats and Bikings, losses against the Ravens and the Packers. We should have won against the Ravens. Personally, I would like the Jets to be on the road as much as home, they got to the AFC Championship all on the road, and we're perfect on the road. I don't think there's another perfect road team other than the Falcons I think.
Why "should we have" beaten the Ravens? It's comments like "the Jets should have lost to the Lions/Broncos/Browns" that piss us off, we can't swing it the other way. We lost the game fairly, but it's far behind us.
anyone see NFL playbook yesterday? Showed how awful the texans passing defense is. they're constantly out of position and play with terrible technique. we really need to take advantage of this. those guys looked flat out horrible Their pass rush is awful too, if you double mario williams or put a solid tackle on him...their pass rush disappears. Antonio Smith is garbage......they paid him because they panicked. they give up 29 points a game. if we don't hang 30 on these clowns, i'm gonna be pissed
That's not necessarily true. Last year we played them week one, they had no idea what they were in for with Rex's defense. They were scared shitless and Schaub was totally rattled. We still would have beaten them later in the season, but to think we would have gotten another shutout is crazy. They are a mediocre team that does have a very powerful offense. We will give up some points this game, no fault of our D. But we should still win by 7-10 points.
It's really not funny, we've played 5 games, 2 on the road, the 1st of the five was at home where we beat Minnesota, than we travel to Denver and win. Come home and get shutout, it happens. Our next 2 games are on the road, can't score at him if our games are on the road. I'm just saying it's kind of stupid to point out. Considering out of our last 4 games 3 were on the road.
Matt Scaahab is an awl wurld quatahback and da Jets got no pass rush!! Ahree-an Fahstah is dahminant on da ground and laahst week dey let payton hilllls run all ova da D
Houston has dropped 4 of it's last 5 games, 3 in a row since the bye. I don't think the Jets have anything to worry about. Plus you play at home. Looks like another week of the Jets being a half game up on the Pats (provided the Pats can beat a decimated Indy team)
Obviously it is a coincidence with the road games, a bye and being shut out the one time they were home. I thought it was funny/ironic. Its not an insult to the Jets at all. Its just interesting.
