You get those days but up here it's cold, not heat, which is a lot more tolerable for me. Plus we don't get that heavy heavy rain nearly as much as Houston. I can actually see domes in the south, like New Orleans and Houston, that heat is dangerous for the players and miserable for the fans. Cold is different. That's why you used to feel that way, because you used to live up here.
Who cares? I stil wouldn't have considered that Pats team better than the '84 Niners, the '85 Bears, the '93 Cowboys, etc... I don't care aout that. I hate the Giants more than I hate the Pats, I wish both teams could have lost but that wasn't possible.
Jets and Giants have no reason to hate each other. We're both pretty inconsequential to each other. Individual loud mouth fans from either base are fair game to hate, but either the Giants or Jets fans generalizing the other just reeks of insecurity and pettiness. In regards to the "inflammatory" remarks made by Giants players, they are CONSTANTLY being berated by reporters on the topic. There have been no press conferences by Giants players who come out and "We own the city." The reporters are simply trying to stir things up.."How do you feel about the Jets trying to take over the city?" Football players in general not being the brightest bunch may neglect to ask, "Who on the Jets have said that?" but instead just responded in a way that demonstrates rocks in their heads. There are plenty of other teams in our respective divisions, heck, conferences more deserving of our ire, and I've personally gotten along great with local Jet fans since 07's Superbowl.
Nope sorry I never was in a dome until I went to the one in Houston & once I watched a game inside a dome I changed my mind on dome play. IMHO for the fan as I said before it is far, far more comfortable no matter if it hot or cold dry or wet outside.
I cannot wait for this game to begin. I met a few of the players in Cortland on Saturday, and they're absolutely fired up. Especially Kris Jenkins who said that he has the "itch" so damn bad.
Finally some f'in football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God I'm so pumped for this season!!!
This may have been asked somewhere in this thread before but is ESPN going to televise the halftime Ring of Honor ceremony? Or just give their talking heads meaningless blabber time?
I dont care who wins I just dont want to see any injuries. Giant fans can say what they want about us but I hold no ill will towards them or their team.
I agree, I couldn't care less who wins as long as we come out injury-free. I've left my SOJ mentality back in 2008, but I still have that nagging worry about who's gonna be the first to go down with a big injury.
Of course we'd like to see the players come out injury-free, but I also want to see how they look on the field.
